Schippers not running too fast this year, on a totally unrelated note, no acne for her this season.

Elaine is officially back!. She looks good as hell. She ran a lot during the Jamaican trials, so she couldn't pull out the win. And you know damn well that nigerian is not going to be there.

But it looks like Elaine is going to take the 100/200 at the WC......if she stays healthy.

True. It is only good in that it is better than just going to a commercial and missing it completely. It still sucks that they dont cover the race in full as they should. Screw NBC.

Not to pile on but no one in the booth recognized that it was Okagbare in the lead in W 200. I'll give the Brit a pass but Ato and Sanya!?

On the men's side, the NCAA championships were far superior to this (not counting the distance events).

I don't really get the need for this. In horse racing or car racing, they don't show the cars or horses after the winner comes by. You can look up how the others do. Show the top few across the line and that's all that's needed.

In the steeple should they just keep filming until Allie O finishes even though it's 30 seconds after the winner? What about the 5k?

Yeah the alltime performance list is

dominated by Chinese runners all from their 1993 national championships. The women's 1500m list also looks just as suspicious but with a couple of 1997 Chinese nats performances and some obviously doped Soviet times. 4 Chinese women ran under 8:20 in the 1993 championship, a feat that wasn't done again outdoors until today, and in 1993 and 1997 at the Chinese nats(they came nowhere close to these times outside of it) and 7 went sub 3:55 in the 1500m, which outside of the cold war era has only been done by Dibaba, whose coach was caught with EPO so...

The real women's 1500 WR is more like 3:55 and Hissan set the real 3000m WR today at 8:18

Is it too much to ask for the start field guy to use some kind of camera stabilization equipment? I feel nauseous.

I probably agree, but it's a funny that 30 seconds is now used as an example of an extremely ridiculously long time to show something on TV. Our Twit-nit brains are devolving.

Kipyegon, Muir and Shelby 1,2,3. Muir looked like she was pulling hard the last 300 meters while Kipyegon looked so relaxed. Faith wins it going away.

damn. 3:59 in her first race in 2 years. She is strong mentally and physically.

Shelby can only kick. Can't run upfront and kick . that is her weakness.

Yeah Kipyegon is still going to win in 2019 and 2020, she's just to strong and already easily winning in her first race since child birth. She even looked over her shoulder to see what she needed to do. Houlighan could've stolen that but let the leaders get to fair away before starting her kick.
