Bekele will have little chance in races like this with big packs that don't kick hard until late. He will have to show up in top shape and be ready to roast the field from far out, Ingebrigtsen style. He's not done making podiums.

I guess we're all spoiled by the 2:01,2:02 performances in recent years, but in reality, 2:04-2:05 is still pretty darn good.

I guess we're all spoiled by the 2:01,2:02 performances in recent years, but in reality, 2:04-2:05 is still pretty darn good.
I think most American men marathoners would be happy with a 2:04 or 2:05.
