She is the goat at the 1500, and by all accounts a goat person too, humble, kind. Her fiercest rivals (not that she really has any at the 1500) also sort of root for her.
She’s very well-liked. The Dibaba one is a striking counterpoint. She gives Hassan a big hug and it’s awkward cuz Hassan wants no part of it. The only person who is excited is the pacer Chanelle Price. For Hassan’s mile record several athletes are pumped most notably Laura Weightman.
Hassan is also very well liked.
Honestly with Kipyegon and Hassan as the co-goats 1500-10000 it’s a true joy for the sport and a blessing for fans. It’s a golden era for the women.
What’s next for Kipyegon? It’s a given she will win gold in Budapest and Paris barring injury/illness or another baby. Maybe she should put together a breaking 4 in the mile attempt with a phalanx of male pacers the whole way….
Holloway holds on after a great start. Allen with a 13.19 SB
Allen's hurdling technique is still ragged, but he is getting better with every race. Holloway still barely holds on to his lead after leading by 20M up to the first 70M. He has a problem with the 110M distance but clearly too arrogant to fix it.

Next, the 1000m, Mile WRs then Double 15. 5K in Paris hehe
Just recovering from that 1500 👀 Faith told Italian TV that this was supposed to be just the first attempt at the WR and she wasn't really expecting to succeed. Says now she has it, she feels like she's accomplished everything and might still take another crack at it this season.

Ha, now you’ve got her running a 3:42.2 equivalent.
World Athletics scoring tables put a women’s 3:49.11 as equivalent to:
1:52.80
2:25.87
4:06.59y
8:05.82
8:41.46y
13:54.01
Making it the strongest women’s WR from 800 through 5k.
It’s messed up that a soldier for Ma’s Army ran 8:06.11 30 years ago.

Errmmm ... you know she'd have to run a 10s 109m to do that? Even with Kipchoge's Clock Car wind break that's not happening!

Well, we’re in agreement that sub-4 is a ridiculous proposition, but your way of looking at it is funny. About 1500 people have run sub-4 without being able to run 10s for 109m.
Holy shi*. I can't believe. Grijalva is legit just better than Fisher. My god.
Someone give him his US citizenship!!!
Northern California runner beating all expectations, so many post on how Californians burn out after high school. Now down to 12:52 and wasn’t just hanging on. He was racing with the worlds best, just like last year in Eugene.
I agree with you, he has lived in the USA all but the first year of his life.
Grijalva always wanted to rep the U.S., but immigration laws being what they are he's accepted representing Guatemala in a very positive way. He's such a likeable person, someone who's easy to root for. And so is his teammate Abdihamid Nur. Another great guy.

Yeah, I know it's not possible, but maybe a sub 4:05 with "special" conditions. The current mile wr is a soft one for the women, no disrespect to Hassan.
