at 10 years old, she was always running community fun run with family and she finishes as one of the fastest top15 or 20s with hundreds of adults running, at one time, the fastest female finisher and she was 10 years old --- you never heard these stories because her family is very humble and never accepts media interviews
shes been a force of nature since the start, and shes surrounded by the right people and has CHOSEN the right people to surround her as she grows and matures as a person and athlete

1} She hates to lose (like all great athletes)
2) She doesn’t repeat mistakes (and with her analytical mind she recognizes them quickly)
3) Her humility is rare relative to her accomplishments
4) She doesn’t exceed her abilities by going for records that are unrealistic
5) She paces her races (no 2 races less that 1-2 weeks apart…with some rare exception)

8) She helps others even before she helps herself (evidenced by her XC championship)

You gotta relax. Katelyn herself said she was feeling sick the week of and wasn’t at her best. No offense to the winner, Annie Rodenfels, but Tuohy at her best beats her by half the length of the track.
