I BELIEVE this DL win also entitles Jenny to an automatic bid to worlds next year, correct? That would mean USA gets 4 slots again in 2015 which could ultimately end up helping row bury

Contact did not cause either of them to fall. Jenny was stumbled already, and probably why she threw her arm a bit wider, and not sure why Shannon went down. It looked like a last minute half hearted dive or she looked over at Jenny and lost her balance.

I like how Shannon got up and simply walked away from Jenny and never said anything to her.

Seems no love lost between those 2.

Thanks for the link. Watch Jenny's feet as they approach the line, she clearly swerves to the inside to cut off Rowbury and gets pushed across the line. It appears she impeded Rowbury. I'm not an expert on the rules, but that looks DQ worthy to me.

No they didn't. Shannon had plenty of room on the inside. The only contact made was Jenny throwing her left arm a bit wide as she started to stumble. Jenny's right foot was pretty much on the lane line all through the finish.

Check out this link and see how much separation they had between their shoulders.

Freeze it 5:58 and see how far apart they are.

Why is that dude in the Rowbury twitter pic wearing two different color shoes?

They just locked arms a couple strides before the tape. No foul by anyone. Watching Rowbury's last 100 I noticed how much better her form is -- her stride seems actually longer than Simpson's. She used to sort of take mincing steps. Now she runs more like a middle distance runner. Two sub-4's and one sub-15 for her this year. Pretty great. Now she needs to get under 2.

Great race by all, it is good to see someone give the ultimate effort. If Jenny did impede, then it was by much less than Rowbury impeded Huddle in their 5K earlier this year, and nobody got DQ'd there, so I don't think it should happen here.
