BYU coach Diljeet Taylor says that after running 4:23 and 14:57 on the track last spring, Hedengren has reached an even higher level this fall by running less than before. Taylor says Hedengren is fitter than any woman she's ever coached but reveals she isn't planning on having Hedengren try out for the USA's World XC team in December.

Taylor told us that Hedengren is fitter than any 5000 runner she's ever coached and has gotten to this level by running less than she did in HS.
