You can no longer get a time qualifier at BU (or any indoor meet) but that doesn't mean people won't be chasing times indoors in a major way. There is a big loophole that World Athletics didn't fix -- indoor times are worth way more than outdoor times on the scoring tables.

- Fred Kerley drama with Marvin Bracy-Williams at Enhanced Games After winning Kerley could be heard talking smack to the field saying, "They’ve got to do better than that. They need to train a little harder, get on that s—t a little bit more and go a little harder some more." This prompted Bracy-Williams to complain to reporters and when asked about it Kerley said, "I'm here to disrespect the field. I'm not here to be buddies. There's money on the line."
- NBC News: "At the Enhanced Games, drugs don’t get athletes banned. They could get them rich." Many of the athletes talked about how they made more money for competing in one race than they could in a year or even their whole careers as clean athletes. They were willing to take big risks as well with sprinter Shania Collins concerned it could jeopardize her plan to follow her parents into a career with the DEA.

- Kenya’s Patrick Kiprop dominates Bolder Boulder 10k in in 28:35 2023 world 10,000m silver medalist Daniel Ebenyo was runner-up in 29:06 and Aiden Reed was the top American in 3rd (29:17). Kenya won the team competition over USA White, 10 to 17 points, although it would have been very close if Casey Clinger (who finished 4th) was on USA White instead of USA Red.
- Kenya's Rebecca Mwangi wins Bolder Boulder 10k in 32:33 as Colorado native Rachel Rudel finishes as the top American in 3rd (32:46) Rudel had waited a long time for the chance to race in the Bolder Boulder pro field, so when the opportunity came, she actually skipped her brother's wedding in Hawaii to run the race. With a 1-2-4 finish, Kenya easily won the team competition.
- Elise Cranny gets surprise win in Bolder Boulder citizens race Svannah Shaw crossed the line first in 34:35 and was initially named the winner, but Cranny was running in the second wave and ran 34:20 to become the first winner who didn’t start in the ‘A’ wave.
- Nickolas Scudder repeats as Bolder Boulder citizen's champ after top finisher DQ'd Emad Bashir-Mohammed crossed the line in 29:50, but started with the wrong assigned wave (a race spokesperson said hundreds of people are DQ'd every year for moving up a wave). The DQ gave Scudder the win for the second consecutive year in 29:58.

His next marathon will be the Porto Alegre Marathon in Brazil on July 12.
- RRW: Kenya's Elvis Cheboi (2:09:22) and Sweden's Abeba Aregawi (2:23:12) win wet and cold Ottawa Marathon This was the marathon debut for the 2012 Olympic 1500m silver medalist Aregawi.
- Italy's European marathon champ Iliass Aouani wins European 10,000m Cup on home soil 27:50 France won the team competition led by Simon Bedard's 27:52 runner-up finish.
- Elzbieta Glinka makes history by becoming first Polish runner (man or woman) to win the European 10,000m Cup Glinka dominated the race by 11 seconds after the last minute withdrawal of multi-time global medalist Nadia Battocletti. Despite her absence, Italy still won the women's team title.
- RRW: Andrew Alexander and Florence Caron win Canadian 10K titles in Ottawa Alexander ran 28:19 to outkick Thomas Fafard by two seconds while Caron ran 32:31 to dominate the women's race by 44 seconds. Cam Levins scratched before the event. *Results

Parker Valby returned to the track in style at the LA Track Fest, running a 14:49.41 pb in her first outdoor race as a pro. Plus Brandon Miller stunned the loaded men’s 800 field, Habtom Samuel broke 13:00, and Emma Coburn ran 9:23 in her first steeple in two years.

The inaugural Enhanced Games debuted in Las Vegas with athletes allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs, but the sprint results were surprisingly underwhelming. Fred Kerley won the men’s 100m in 9.97, while both track winners claimed they competed clean.

- The Telegraph: "Enhanced Games flop as only one world record 'broken'" Greek swimmer Kristian Gkolomeev finished faster than the 50m freestyle WR with 20.81 seconds (the official WR is 20.88). Organizers said there were only 14 PBs set by 12 athletes and all of them were swimmers and weightlifters.
Masai Russell ran the 2nd fastest 100m hurdle ever as 18-year-old Yan Ziyi threw the #2 javelin ever. Uganda's 2020 Olympic champ Peruth Chemutai fell short in her steeplechase WR attempt, but got the win in 8:51.06 (8th fastest performance of all-time) over Paris Olympic champ Winfred Yavi (8:51.54). Ethiopia’s 2022 world U20 champ Addisu Yihune beat Germany’s Mohamed Abdilaahi in the 5000m (12:57.32 to 12:57.90) and Australia’s Abbey Caldwell outdueled Ethiopia’s Birke Haylom in the 1500m (3:57.26 to 3:57.79), with US's Emily Mackay taking 3rd (3:58.13). Alison dos Santos topped WR holder Karsten Warholm again, taking the 400H 46.72 to 46.82. Other sprint highlights included world champ Collen Kebinatshipi dipping under 44 seconds to win the 400m (43.92), Shericka Jackson over Shaunae Miller-Uibo in the 200m (21.87 to 22.04) and Kenya's Ferdinand Omanyala in the 100m (9.94).
Hocker still owns a house in Blacksburg and will visit for training stints, but is spending more time in the Pacific Northwest. He will open his 2026 season on June 14 with the 3,000m at the USATF LA Grand Prix.
The meet be held on September 18 at StoneX Stadium in North London, a rugby stadium has a listed seating capacity of 10,500, though Athlos is currently only selling tickets to one side of the stadium. A manual count of all seats on that side was just over 2,900, with roughly 1,000 of those tickets being available for purchase currently. Sha'Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas, Tara Davis-Woodhall, Masai Russell and Marileidy Paulino are all scheduled to compete in both meets.
Athlos is doubling from one to two meets in 2026 and prize money will go up even more (2.7X). The new location will be London according to Sportico.

Our Jonathan Gault reached out to Holloway's camp for an update yesterday and a day later we have an update. Holloway did not race indoors for the first time in his career in 2026. He said he tore his hamstring in March and did not announce a timetable for his return, though he is entered in the Pre Classic on July 4.

Sawe's 1:59:30 was real, but analysis from LetsRun.com and German timing ace Helmut Winter reveals his 24th mile was almost certainly slower than 4:12. The race's official timing company has told LetsRun it has removed the time for mile 24 from its list of splits to prevent confusion.

The Marathon Project has announced a major schedule change for this year's event. The Amateurs and Professionals will now compete together in a 400-person race on Saturday, December 12. The move is designed to amplify the atmosphere and increase the intensity with more athletes, fans, and energy on the flat, fast, loop course in Chandler, AZ. According to race organizers, "The overwhelming feedback we received from last year was that the participants loved being treated like pros. Now they'll get to race with the pros as well. It's a logical next step for us." Press Release here
