Are you all doing this to yourself on purpose?!? Switch to Telemundo idiots. It has been linked here many times. It has been showing the men for the past 20+ minutes straight. When they show women, it is in split screen.

Mo Farah rubber bands more than I do when I bike ride with my 50 year old triathlete friends.

So a 14:25 last 5k. Maybe sub 28:00 for the final 10k?
Mo mastering these dudes!
What I tell you guys!
Rupp, Mo, Osaka all close the gap!...let's see if those 4 breakaways pay for the surges (G Kirui needs to learn to run straight--although looks good)
Farah and Rupp were smart. They didn't go right away tih the huge surge by Kipkemoi. I hate to say but the last 20 years have taught us to do no surges, and do as little work as possible.

Mile 1: 4:46
Mile 2: 4:47 (9:33) I timed the first mile in 4:49 for the racers. Mayvbe 448. They are giving official splits, which I am posting. 4:47 was the second mile split.
Mile 3: 4:47 (14:20)
5K: 14:52 (19 men within 5 seconds of the lead) Stinson, Kibet, and Osman backing off leaders now. the What pace are they on?2:05:28 pace
Mile 4: 4:48 (19:08) Farah allowing a slight gap to form from leaders to him and a few other guys but it’s not that big. Now they’re back together, though Farah is toward the back of the pack.
Mile 5: 4:46 (23:54)
Mile 6: 5:03 (28:57) Slowest split of the race by far (due to headwind)
10K: 30:11 (15:09) Choge has fallen way off, he’s behind the second group in 30:51 running in no man’s land
Mile 7: 4:54 (33:51)
Mile 8: 4:43 (38:34)
Mile 9: 5:00 (43:34) Kirui sees a gap starting to form to the pacers so he moves up to close the gap and keep the pressure on.
15K: 45:00 (14:49)
Mile 10: 4:42 (48:16)
Mile 11: 4:42 (52:58) They’ve had the wind at their backs since from 7.5 to almost 13 miles
Mile 12: 4:47 (57:45)
20K: 59:48 (14:48)
Mile 13: 4:45 (1:02:30)
HALF: 1:03:02 (13 men within 4 secs of the lead) Farah at the very back of lead pack. Rupp and Kiruis right at the front. Farah had allowed a gap of 20 meters to form, but he makes a move during mile 14 to bridge the gap and is back with the leaders by 14 miles.
65:12 for Stinson, who is running with Kibet, Osman, Kiname, and Sambu.
Mile 14: 1:07:15 for pacers, 1:07:22 for main pack (4:52) They are letting the pacers get a bit of a gap.

25K: 1:15:18 (15:30), 11 men in front pack Kirui pushing up front. Gets a five-meter gap.
Mile 16: 5:08 (1:17:28) Still one pacemaker up front, but this split is for the leaders, led by GKirui, who is closing down the pacer. Now passes the pacemaker during mile 17. Rupp, AKirui, Germew, Legese are right behind him. Now that they’ve caught the pacer, GKirui drops back to let the pacer do some work, Rupp and AKirui are up at the front level with the pacer.
Mile 17:
Mile 18: 1:26:30 (9:02 for last 2 miles) Kirui making another move to string things out. Chumba has been dropped.
30K: 1:29:41 Kirui misses his bottle at the 30k drinks station -- he may have even slowed down on purpose to see if someone else will share theirs? Legese gives him some of his.
Mile 19: 4:46 (1:31:16)
Right now, it's GKirui, the Ethiopians Legese and Geremew, and Kenneth Kipkemoi of Kenya in the front group, they have about 20 meters to the chasers, led by Rupp.
Rupp now taking charge of the second pack, he’s trying to close the leaders down. Osako is right behind him, Farah not going with him though.
Mile 20: 4:44 (1:36:00) Now Farah has joined Osako and Rupp and they’re working to close the gap.
Kenneth Kipkemoi now takes the lead and pushing the pace. The group of four is now strining out, with Kirui behind, then Geremew, Legese falling off a bit as Farah, Osako, and Rupp are closing them down.
Mile 21: 4:41 (1:40:41) By mile 21, there’s a pack of six -- Kipkemoi leading, then Geremew, Rupp, Farah, Osako, Kirui. Legese has dropped. Rupp, Farah and Osako must have run their last mile in sub-4:40.
35K: RUPP falling off the pace.

It looks like Farah has adjusted his stride - he looks more efficient as compared to his overly stretched power track stride.
