There is a UAA specific thread with all of four posts. Why? The conference just isn't that interesting this year.
Shame. Those jokes are always really funny.

Last year's nationals course at Principia didn't feel like a pancake to me pal.
I'd like to see the lumps you have the audacity to call pancakes that you've been eating for breakfast.
as a midwest runner, I just want to say I think Oshkosh is a trash course and a disgrace that nationals is held there so often.
Guys we made it nearly all the way to Halloween to argue Northeast vs Midwest this year. I'm proud of us

Why is no one talking about the West region? They are the best region. West is best
One thing we can all agree on is that the south region is and will always be a flaming pile of hot garbage.
SEC results are in. Kentucky, who lost to NCC, got third behind Ole Miss and Arkansas. Missouri, who lost to LAX and WashU, got 5th. We hobby joggers aren't doing too bad.
bump for conference thoughts
We used machine learning and big data to generate statistically robust predictions based on logarun/Strava logs. A paper will be published soon in Scientific Reports.
Final predictions:
Men
1. WashU - 31 pts
2. CMU - 37 pts
3. U Chicago - 98
4. Emory - 122
5. CWRU - 136
6. NYU - 151
7. Rochester - 160
8. Brandeis - 250
Women
1. WashU - 24
2. U Chicago - 71
3. Brandeis - 73
4. Rochester - 123
5. Emory - 126
6. CMU - 147
7. CWRU - 156
8. NYU - 248
NESCAC's was a shitshow due (mostly) to the weather
Liberty League was pretty fast, good weather though
How many bids is each region going to get?
In my opinion:
NE: 4 (Amherst, Williams, Middlebury, MIT)
AR:5 (Geneseo, RPI, Oneonta, SLU,RIT)
ME: 4 ( Haverford, Johns Hopkins, CMU, Dickinson)
S/SE: 2 (Rhodes, Emory)
GL: 4 (Calvin, Otterbein, Depauw, CWRU)
MW: 6 (NCC, WashU,LAX,UC,Eau Claire, Stout)
C: 4 (St. Olaf, Carleton, Wartburg, Cornell College)
W: 2 (PP, CMS)
This is only 31 teams. Who is the last team in?
Yeah, good weather for a tempo.
*NE 5, AR 4
NE has 4 potential top 15 teams and then another 4 teams that theoretically think they deserve a spot a nationals (all of which have been ranked at multiple times this season including conn who have been ranked every week since the pre season poll). No way they'll all earn that spot but it also seems weird to have none of them go considering the strength of the NE region this year. I would agree that NE deserves more bids than AR for starters but also wonder what the committee will do if they finish close in points to each other.
4 NE teams beat Dickinson at Conn, my guess is they get 5, maybe 6, considering MIT will beat some of those teams come regionals

Strength of NE region? Get real. The entire region got trounced by RPI at PVC who in turn got smoked by Hopkins at Rowan. Hopkins narrowly lost to havervord at centennial but still that puts RPI looking like a 7-10 team at ncaas and NE looking like they’ll be lucky to have 1-2 teams finish top 10.
Because we all know September or even October = November
