Stanford professor calls police on black barbecuers.
Stanford professor calls police on black barbecuers.
She's an "environmental scientist"...
OK, maybe that's a contradiction in terms in the first place (see other threads if you want to argue that point), but maybe she was concerned about the environment (BBQ pollution), and not the ethnicity?
In this case, there is actually a law concerning charcoal vs. non-charcoal grilling at Lake Merritt in Oakland. There are designated spots for charcoal grilling and for non-charcoal grilling. She should have left this to the park authorities to enforce their own regulations, however.

According to Kenzie, the woman said ‘Oh another n*gger.’ She proceeded to tell all three of the people at the BBQ table that she owned the park, and they are not allowed there. She also said them they were going to jail.” The racist comment allegedly made by the woman was not caught on video.
What about the comment that "she owned the park"? Any video catching of that one?

Yep, just like I've given up going to most local parks here because they won't enforce leash laws.
And ppl will just shrug you if you try to tell them what the ordinances are. Even challenge you to "GO AHEAD" and do something.
This is what the criminals rely on every time.
Then whine when the cops actually DO get called. Who are generally annoyed from being pulled away from their donuts.

I don't think that is meant to apply to a historically repressed group like African-Americans, especially with the connotations of charcoal involved. There's also no clear signage, and even then it assumes the BBQers are literate in English.
As for your point, the woman has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.
That is a real scientist, one with no moral judgment, but a top scientist, obviously.

Maybe people get advances degrees from Stanford/Harvard etc., w/o being "top scientists". In fact, even some of the best schools are advanced-diploma mills (though of/c the best do go there too, they just also have a significant percentage of lesser-lings). You have a deranged idea of what "top" means in the academic world.
Snider, who is Smith’s wife, said her husband texted her a picture of the woman and said, “If I go to jail this is who did it to me.” Snider, who was at a nearby restaurant, then walked over to the park and arrived about 12:50 p.m., which is when the video begins.
Everything before that is essentially unknown, we only have stories they are telling.
Then it gets spooky, as the goon starts following her around...
Yep, end the 25-min video right as the victim is reduced to tears. Here's a Hollywood career for you.

First you got wrong: an engineering PhD is not science. Adding your word "real" or "top" doesn't help your faux pas.
Also, particularly women in STEMs are too often charity PhDs these days. Even hiring them at (good) research unis has become de riguer, to level some playing field or another, with Deans swimming with the societal currents. So even if I bend corners about the rest of your verbiage, she's very unlikely a "top" scientist, either by credential or current status.
And let's not even say what "grilling" contains wrote:

In USA, it's easier to register to vote than to figure out the arcane BBQ laws.

But residents and officials told the news station [always the moral arbiter in USA] that the rule is not typically followed or enforced, and is not a police matter.
“I have seen people barbecue with charcoal for years,” Kenzie Smith told the news station.
Typical excuse, everyone else is doin' it!

Back in reality: Schulte works as a senior project manager at an environmental resources and services in Oakland. Her work focuses on air quality. She is also a climate change technical specialist. She previously worked at Horizon Water and Environment, URS Corporation and Environ International Corporation.

Libs think anyone who is a so-called "climate change technical specialist" is a "Top Scientist". It's part of the pseudo-credential game they play to inhibit dissent.
These are park RULES. These are not state or city LAWS. If you see someone breaking park rules - notify the PARK AUTHORITIES.
Also if you call the police on someone peacefully BBQing you with look like an idiot and if you are white and they are not you will look like a racist.
This lady's head would explode if she lived in my town.
Every time a black person feels like are being wronged its racism. Forget the fact there is absolutely nothing to suggest its racial other than the color of the participants, which is in itself racist to assume its racist because the other person is not your color.
Hate to let some black and sjw’s out there that white people deal with this caca just as much. The difference is we dont film and cry racism for every dang thing they dont like.
Watch cops for a season and see how much crap white people gets the police called on them.
Murica freaking sucks and it is only going to worse. Paranoia doesnt make it real and only makes it worse.
And yes im leaving this racism is everywhere supposively place! Peace!!

Dr. Jennifer Schulte is a Senior Project Manager with ERM based in Walnut Creek, California. She has 10 years of experience as an air quality and climate change specialist, and is a recognized expert in the fields of air quality, emission estimation, air dispersion modeling, health risk assessments, and climate change impacts,” the website said. “Dr. Schulte has conducted complex projects throughout California, the United States, and some international locations involving air emission inventories, air dispersion modeling, health risk assessments, and climate change analyses for numerous clients including commercial and residential development projects, ports, transportation, refineries, and various other industrial areas. She conducts air quality and climate change analyses for regulatory compliance, environmental studies required for CEQA and NEPA, and litigation support.”
Well, if she's a "recognized expert" in air dispersion modeling, I can see why she'd care about open-air charcoal burning.
