They should DQ everyone and give the medals to the officials. Everyone is there to see the officials anyway.

Actually it doesn't even matter whether she did it "IN ORDER TO PREVENT...". All that matters is she did it and impeded; intent is not relevant.
The rules-based answer is obvious; the bantering all about what people wish were the rules.

Al Sal got GG DQd. Is it time one of his athletes gets DQd?
I personally don't think a DQ is the right penalty. I think there should be a penalty where you put Muir 2nd and Hassan 3rd but I'm sorry - you can't do what Hassan just did.
Whuh?
How on earth would this be a DQ? Hassan was ahead of Muir and was clear to move right in to unoccupied space. Muir could still have passed further to the right if she was actually fast enough. This is all totally normal racing.
Only the most cowardly of SJW types would answer like this. Hassan should be thrown out. If it were the other way around the same coward would be clamoring for the hateful oppressive white woman to be banned for life.
The elbow, and the drift are Standard Operating Procedure for Hassan. In the 2017 world's, Jenny used that against her by passing on the inside in the final straight.

Actually total nonsense.

Stop it already.
No dq. Just racing
Only Rojo the clueless would be worrying about an athlete who WASN'T DQd in a meet with 30 other DQs.
This thread seems like a premonition for the ridiculous amount of actual DQs that were yet to come lol.
Such a nice woman.
It’s frustrating to see such dirty tactics, if she is not fast enough at the end, she should just accept the fact. Anyway, this will cause more people to dislike her, cheater.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
