When I visited I was told we'd get trainers, spikes and flats. Now we aren't getting anything. Anyone else out there with this situation?

we get condoms and lube
I get a lift home after practice some times.
cheers.
Sounds like you aren't on the team. Guess they've been afraid to break that news to you.
What level?
Did the coach send you his address and the time to go to his house when his wife is out?
No one gets them unfortunately..

I was a NCAA D2 walk-on. Practice started before the first day of class. Head coach got me enrolled in courses I wanted which were officially full. I was always varsity. I always raced in the big meets. I got free gear and an invite to head coach's home for Thanksgiving dinner with his wife and kids as a walk-on freshman. Run faster, you'll get gear.

By we I mean the entire team. We have no money lol..
I went to a small D1 school...we only got shoes 1 year. Never got spikes or flats; however, we did get 2 pairs of running shorts, pair of bball shorts, hat, gloves, long sleeve tech, pair of tights, running jacket, and 2 tech tshirts....then we always got a gift from the conference each year which was a combination of a jacket, sweats, hat, sweatshirt, tshirts, or backpack.

We get some sweat pants, tights, windbreaker, 5 cotton t shirts with the logo on them, split shorts and half tights but the only thing we keep is the cotton t shirts.
Long ago, I went to a CC and then a DIII and I got at least a pair of trainers for each season. (no indoors). My kids are competing in college at different levels and neither get shoes at all, though one gets all kids of clothing. I assumed that they would get shoes, and probably spikes as well (based on their talent levels).
Try for some socks at least !
I ran at an adidas Div 1 school back in the mid 90's. everyone got 3 pairs of trainers over the year, a pair of flats, and a pair of spikes for cross and track. We were lucky enough to get some other gear like gloves and hats over the year as well. I always had two kits, full warmups and a hooded sweatshirt. This was equal for both Women's and Men's programs and consistent during my entire stay at the school, including redshirt year. In addition, we had some guys and a few gals get some post graduate support from adidas as well.
Every D2 guy that I know got shoes. Most D1 guys get 5 pairs per year and 2 pairs of spikes. You should have gone D1.

Lol should I transfer? Not to mention we only run 2 different places all week. Restricted to a 2 mile loop Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday is 8 miles on the concrete.
NAIA 'Nike' School. All the apparel you want, but no shoes or spikes. WTF
I went to an NAIA (qualified for nationals as a team) and everyone got a pair of trainers and a pair of spikes. I was putting in big miles, so my coach gave me shoes as I needed. Many times I got a pair every other month. All you have to do is ask.
I now coach at a smaller D3 school and the athletes get nothing in terms of shoes. Every first year gets two t-shirts that aren't sport specific. That's it.
If you were promised gear and didn't get anything, that's messed up. I wouldn't recommend transferring over this one thing. If you like the academic life, the social life, and the team, stay. If there is more you are not happy with, you should transfer. Don't pick D1 just because you get more gear and stuff. Look at the school as a whole.
Good luck.
I ran for a D1 program that went to nationals for a few years, and even in those years, we only got one pair of shoes a year, and that was NOT from the athletic department, it was from a pile of shoes that the local running shoe store donated (old models, returned shoes, etc... whatever sizes were available). The manager of the store was on the semi-pro team that my college coach worked with (they ran workouts with our team often). The top guys might have gotten more shoes than I did, but I'm pretty sure none of those shoes came from athletics.
The Basketball team, which sucked balls, got basketball shoes (expected) and even a pair or two of running shoes per year from the athletic department. We were not a priority because we brought no money in (I tend to doubt the Bball team did, but they at least sold tickets for games and got advertising $$).
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
