Yeah, well you know what Nick? A 3:00 marathon doesn't inspire me like 1:42.95 did. Come back to us when you are doing real training again!

He has always said that he is a business man first before he is a runner. When he said that is when I was no longer a fan of him, no matter how fast he was still running at the time.
He is an outdoorsman first, followed by an entrepreneur, marketer, businessman, salesman, nutritionist, and entertainer who is mostly too cool for running but willing to do it just for us.
Seriously, this tweet screams hobbyjogger.

Nick is full of excuses.
Now that he is retired what is he doing for running? Did he go to the USATF Annual meeting to push his great causes?
Still selfish and trying to become rich.

Seriously, only 1 mile run?

He had to stare in the mirror for almost an hour to adore himself. Thats how long it took to get this pic.
He should become an ultrarunner because supposedly anyone with speed can run faster than the current ultrarunners.
Nick is a spoiled little boy. When dropped by Nike he spent the next 4 years bashing Nike. He sounds like a rejected lover. 2 days after his contract with Brooks ends he is bashing Brooks.
Whether he is right or wrong he should keep his mouth shut. But he can't.
Middle distance runners dont usually grow into competitive marathon runners right? It's usually the 5k plus guys. Why the hate?

Did you read the thread? The hate he gets isn’t about his running but his personality. While “they” do now also mock his marathon time he’s been getting hate on here for years, but, who doesn’t get hate on here?

The hate is from Nike people, or some very small group of people (or even one person) who hold grudges and try to make it look like there are a lot of haters.
Anyone read the actual article? I thought it was pretty interesting to learn about Brooks and what smaller companies have to do to stay relevant. It makes some sense why a company like Saucony is cutting their apparel now

The Bloomberg article on Brooks is very interesting. Follow the links in NS’s tweet. Very interesting
That Bloomberg article is far more interesting than the op, and most of this thread. K Hanson right again...
One of the responses to Nicks tweet was something about if I was a pro running for Brooks I would be worried.
If you go to the likes. Danny Mackey liked it.
So Danny is worried. That should tell you something.
Symmonds is a great advocate for running and encouraging runners. Guy has always been legit, when he speaks, I listen. you should too.
I don't see why you people bash on him for pursuing his business goals since he already retired from professional running, you can't run (professionally) forever he is just moving on with his life
Nick is a professional complainer, and always will be.

What is the most stupid running advice you've ever heard?🤣(It can be funny)
Are Asics, Saucony, and New Balance envious of Brooks, Hoka ,and On?
