UNC HC could be out in a year. Whomever gets the distance job could have a short shelf life.

I know from personal experience Jason Drake is a nice guy and a good coach, but I can’t imagine UW hiring him as HC. All the turmoil was in the distance running piece of the team and in this day and age, I don’t think you get a free pass for not saying anything even anonymously to Metcalf’s boss when he’s going off the rails.

That’s sad when colleges are looking to hire the same few people for a position. Name another job industry that does this? I would be embarrassed..
Are you responding to Hoosier Daddy? Because he listed off some of the most well-respected & successful women in the coaching world right now that aren't directors at P5 schools. Of course they're going to get contacted! But not knowing anything about the actual situation, Helen is probably WAY too happy head coaching a women's AND men's program that are going to continuously be in the hunt at NCAA's from now to uproot her family from their home, Diljeet seems to really like what she has going on at BYU (and not TOO far from home), and Andrea apparently doesn't think Ames is nearly as much of a sh!thole as Rita does lol. But these are the names that SHOULD be floated first. I would imagine any industry does this when those in a valued minority in the field earn a very strong reputation & get results wherever they go...
Director of ops at ok state.
Director of ops will be filled internally
Tell me what Vanhoy has done? I see his name on this thread every year! He was all over this thread even after he was just an assistant at NC for a year? I am not impressed. A good coach yes, but what has he done year after year after year to recruit and coach? I think its Vanhoy on here every year talking himself up! Because his name is always on this thread and I do not know why!

He made Ole Miss of all places into a mid-D/distance powerhouse

Actually Gavin Kennedy made Ole Miss. Fanboy opps Vanhoy walked into a perfect recruiting class. To attach his name to and made the most of it

Haha even after that recruiting class VanHoy got great transfers and athletes to come to Ole Miss and has done pretty damn well in National Championhip moments. Quit hating on Ryan. He has done a fantastic job with that program. Keep hating haters
Looks like no Babbits, Whitstitt, or Lambert to LSU. B and W were probably just looking at options if head coach took over texas. Lambert probably wants to stay close to home and got a little bump from siu. Now who does Shaved look to? Ninow probably goes to texas. Schultz from Washington needs a place if they don't hire drake. Not many people want to work for shaver and compete in sec with limited funds for throws.
uc davis distance is open. 2nd time in less than a year. wonder what happened to Barbosa? got canned because he's a terrible recruiter?
Whos the favorite for new coach at KY?
Erik Jenkins
Any word on candidates for Missouri st. Director?
It is fife's
He was fired in March for giving his athlete's prescription pills... They had an alumni who was still in town coaching them on an interim basis the rest of the season. Ron doesn't care about the distance team at all so don't expect anyone too quaified to be hired as long as he is head track coach there

Not what I heard. I’ve heard that the road to Springfield, MO may go thru Columbia, MO.
Lonnie and staff at Purdue should land at Kentucky.

How does the UC Davis distance coach get canned for this without the HC taking the fall as well? NCAA regs presuppose head of program as responsible for everything that goes on. Seems like Ron Sheffield is running things right into the ground in Davisville.
