I thought this might be fun. Here is the only non training log nfo I will provide - I am excited about my race and feel that the training has gone well. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t want people predicting my time.
My training cycle is 18 weeks. I just completed week 17. Week 18 is this week and will conclude with Chicago. I used a random number generator to select which weeks of training to share. They ended up being somewhat well spaced. Makes it easier to guess, probably.
Week 3
*Mileage - 94.4
*Key workout - 12 Miles with middle 8 alternating 5:12 and 6:05
*Long Run - 16 miles at 6:41/mile. Last 3 were sub-6:00.
Week 9
*Mileage - 98.3
*Key workout - 8 x 1k (400 rest) at 3:12, 4 x 200 (200 rest) at 34, 33, 33, 33
*Long Run - 18 Miles with middle 10 at 5:30/Mile
Week 12
*Mileage - 100.7
*Key workout - 16 Miles including 2 x 3 miles at 15:30, 15:29 with 0.5 mike jog recovery
*Long Run - 20 miles with middle 8 alternating 5:25/6:05
Week 16
*Mileage - 81.2
*Key Workout - 3 miles at 15:34, 3:00 jog, 5 x 800 (400 jog recovery) at 2:31, 2:00 jog, 3 x 400 (200 jog recovery) at 72,72,72
*Long Run - 18 miles with last 6 at 5:28/mile.
