Farah will win, but it is not that bad a field. Ritz is running well and ran 60:12 last year. The Robertson brothers have 59:47 and 60:01 personal bests and could both break 60. Bernard Lagat is the wildcard at 42 or 43, and ran 13:06 and placed 5th in Rio. His best half marathonis only 62:XX, but IF he is training seriously and specifically for the half-marathon (even at his age) he could/should beat the Robertson brothers and Ritz, meaning sub-60 and possibly faster than Hall's 59:43 AR. However, the Great North Run is on a slightly downhill course, so it would not qualify as an AR anyway.
