Lot of Africans in the Men's Top 15. Changing scene..
Only 10 guys broke 1:02 and only 9 women broke 1:10. Pretty weak fields.
Koror wasn't obstructed, Rupp put his arm out after they crossed the line
Looked like Rupp eased up a little a step or two early though for some reason
Sweet nectar of life

I wouldn't agree. When the top 3 male and females ran like they did today, that's a STRONG field. You don't have to have a field of 20 deep to be a strong field.

Agreed. Here, with boots on the ground, I'd mention there was never any talk of obstruction and that video angle is biased. The delay was in what the immediate timing results stated.

Err.... like 5 maybe?
Rupp is back, baby!
5 would be 1/3rd, Mr. Mathmetician.

They could also have been racing- someone said they negative split.
Maybe as they crack down on drug use we'll see more pure racing- time is secondary to the race and winning/placing.

That's a great photo.
This is 1:02 and change for the 1/2 marathon. What would the equivalent for a flat course be?
Just think how much Korir would have won by if he was wearing the special shoes that Rupp has.
Korir always has these nail-biter finishes, but usually prevails.

He or she is not in CT. Moby Dick has been acting like they are in New Haven when they are in PA.

and in the end... wrote:...all in good fun, no hard feelings. Anyway, let's talk about race- 30:38/59:04 is a nice negative split on a challenging course. 28:26 second half!
Agreed. And thanks for saying my coverage was the best you've read. It's appreciated. Galen was just hanging the first half, sitting back of the pack. Once he opened it up for the second it was seriously impressive. He really could have won by 2-3 seconds, he was cruising in the last 50-75 meters.
So this post is a a lie as he wasn't in CT.
Thanks for the great coverage for this race. It is really appreciated.

Yea, not sure why someone would do that. All of the info he was reporting was on Twitter beforehand anyways.

The times weren't fast.
59:04 (Rupp's time) is 62:18 half marathon pace.
66:35 (Hasay's time) is 70:14 half marathon pace.

Looks like Korir had it in that one, but it is slightly after the line to be fair
