I'm too lazy to look up the all-time world list, but there's a STRONG possibility that this is the clean world record.
Zola ran 8:28 at a younger age.

I have a hard time beliving that, she looks so skinny, probably one if the lowest body fast percentages of any female runner. She does look super talented, and her coach seems to know what he's doing. She can go far with the right coaching, I see her possibly getting a few European Records
Will no doubt run very fast times at 1500 to 5000 but how many top races does she win? No evidence yet of developing a kick - which is why she had to take it out so hard and early in London. Future winner at world level? doubtful.

yeap, i know what you mean. i can not say something about her eating habits. but one kind of strength and weight training is to build up muscle mass (big weights, few repetitions, eating a lot), another is to improve intramuscular coordination (low weights, many repetitions). her coach says that she is mentally strong and very focused.

If she starts running 8:19, will she really need a kick at that point? No one will be able to keep up.

Think very low weights. Legcurls with 5lb or less for example.
She twice failed the entrance exam for the sports university in Cologne because she didn't reach the minimum in the shot put (6.75m with 4kg)

Clean? LOL no.
Of course she´s sweaty after performance like that. Taking a shower will do it.
that is it. she is naturally very lean. she does what i have written above, only strength training with low weights to improve her athletics as a runner in terms of stability and keeping up her running style. it is not that kind of gym work sprinters do.

Her chances will improve if the 'authorities' pick off the obvious filth bags one Dibaba (and friends) at a time.

Only 56mpw and she's ran sub-15 5k, really? Have you got a source on her training?
there are a few interviews and articles. germany is desperately waiting for talents like garbius or klosterhalfen (other countries do have more).
she is not running that much. to each their own.
Thanks for that. Nice modeling pics. Didn't expect she would look downright beautiful.
OTOH. I fear for her. It says she trains with some refugees???
Muir had a mediocre outdoor season, probably overdid it this winter, and has retreated back to veterinary school. It's a real question as to whether she will recover her 2016 form in 2018. The Brits who bought tickets to the WCs based on the Laura Muir hype should be refunded a portion of the tickets' cost.

Another one? So Laura Muir is already yesterday's lady? Didn't take long.

You are so full of negativity, you probably need more fibre in your diet. Muir had a stress fracture and missed most of May and June as result. After missing that much time so close to WC, she was more than worth the price of admission.

Think high wieghts low reps. Gives you strength without the bulk you develop from doing tons of reps. Seriously look at body builders. It is all about volume. The people that care about strength to weight ratios use heavy wieghts and do a few reps (
Article says she's a practicing catholic - how did I know she was religious just by looking at her. And lol at the guy worried about her for training with refugees.

Is this 20 year old the future of distance running?
She may set the 3000 record in a few years!
The 15 year old girl looked so happy when she spoke LRC, I think her boyfriend asked out again.
This may well be true - but the media over here in the UK, led by her cheerleaders Paula and Crammie, were constantly telling us that she had missed nothing like a couple of months training, more like a week or so, and that she was back up to her usual training load in terms of both quantity and quality very quickly. Which is the correct version?
I think Muir did overdo the indoor season - but then I'm not a believer in racing indoors for middle and long distance athletes. More relevantly, moving to 5000 from 1500 is a very difficult move. Few athletes have done this successfully. To combine both in the same period is equally difficult. Even if Muir had not run the 1500 she would have found it difficult to medal in the 5000. She placed quite high in the final by staying off the pace and picking people off. Sensible moves, but she was never running for a medal in that final.

Serioulsy, did you look at Klosterhalfen. She wouldn't be able to move a 25lb plate if her life depended on it
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
