Christian Coleman just ran 9.97 to beat Bolt's 9.97 in semifinal #3. They'll be back in 2 hours for the final.
Can Coleman actually beat Bolt? Let's hear it.

Hes looking pretty vulnerable. Although, bolt got a slow start and coleman looked like he came out of the blocks with a rocket and bolt still ran him down. If bolt can get a good start, he should win
Bolt looked pissed and couldn't get Coleman to give eye contact.
Can Bolt lose the final? Yes. Will it happen? Not likely. If Bolt has anything better than an atrocious start, he wins. If he has an atrocious start, he might still win if Coleman can close at all.
In my mind Bolt is the underdog. Crazy to think but the bravado and confidence seems missing. The only thing really keeping him with a chance is that no one is running well except for Coleman. If Coleman gets it right he'll win.
Yohan Blake FTW

I dislike him, but yes, Bolt seems to always find a way to win.
Watch the video. Coleman actually shut it down a little bit at the end. He has more in the tank for the final.
No way Bolt loses.
Coleman will have a tough time holding off a charging Bolt. He barely could do it in that race, despite Bolt's slow start. Coleman did let up at the end, so I'm excited to see what he can do when he runs it all through to the finish.

Yep, experience always wins and Bolt has lots of it.
It's pretty easy to have confidence and bravado when you know you are way ahead of your competition. You don't be cocky when you think you may be beaten - unless you are idiotic Americans being cocky in the heats.
If he however wins the 100M, he will start with the cockiness. Just watch
Coleman has the talent to go sub 9.8 in the finals, but Bolt just ran him down from way, way back. I still think that while Coleman can do it, Bolt will put enough effort in to win.
Bolt's goin' down .
I was leaning more toward thinking Bolt would lose the final UNTIL he ran that semi. I think now that he'll be able to handle Coleman.
Actually Bolt lost to Gaye back in the day.
The hype behind bolt's final career is strangely reminiscent of the sub-2 hype. Lots of Nike ads and promo's. just feels like it's going to be a close one but probably a loss for bolt.
Bolt clearly shut it down early in the semi. He'll win the final.
Of course Bolt was pissed. That was a contract breach from Coleman's side. I expect Coe to make it absolutely clear what will happen to Coleman and his family if he does that again in the final.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
