Hassan takes it to Kipyegon to win in 3:57.10
The move to NOP has paid off.
She did it the hard way. Leading from 900 to the finish.
First 2 were clearly best.
Time would have been faster if went out a second slower the first lap.

It's OK -- Farah and Hassan just weren't trained smartly enough and hardly enough before they joined his group! They also didn't do enough weight training, and Salazar's secret recipe of good, hard work, as well as strength training was the only thing missing in order to make them the world's best!
Yeah, right.

Hassan amazing front running to hold off Kipyegon!

Think Dibaba would have won this race?
Really, Coburn can't handle opening at 3min km?
3 flat at 1km
6 flat at 2km
She should not have fallen off the back 400m in.
She was racing for fourth.

Yeah, right.
Grow up. Hassan hasn't even broken her PB yet.
Sifan looked smooth, and that leg wasn't whipping around like crazy like it usually does. Faith couldn't surge, even though she tried. Hassan just looked smooth and relaxed, and in charge.
Dibaba better be ready. Period. because 1500 and 5000m are not a lock for her to even finish in second place.
That is the first time I have seen Faith struggle in a long time. It doesn't really mean anything. She could have just been off. But Sifan is clearly a problem now.
NOP

she has not PRd, but this is the first time she has broken 358 multiple times in the same season, and she has already done it 3x. Plus her 2nd and 3rd best times are both within .17 of her best (which was set when she trailed dibaba for awhile in her WR run at Monaco before dying a painful death the last lap).
In a interview about Hassan sometime ago it was mentioned that she had a strength difference between the legs.
With the strength training of Salazar she has finally taken care of this issue.
Also the racing strategy of sitting in the back of the pack has been changed for the better.
She could win gold in london this year.
haven't heard anything about Dibaba this summer.

Typeo. Corrected. "now part of OTC"

So what? She has run a 3:56 off a smartly paced race this year. The OP wanted to indicate she was doping. When she died the painful death in Monaco two years ago, she was probably in 3:54 shape off smarter pacing for her own time, not Dibaba's. She is just more consistent this year, which can be attributed to coaching, not drugs.
I was there, great evening ! Sad to see Jebet take a tumble in the river and Lavillenie was really disappointed...frustrated by the wind too.
Salazar is telling Hassan to take these races from the front - somewhat out of character for NOP. She was stronger than Kipyegon at the end - pulling away a bit. Very nice running. Add Dibaba and Muir at World's and this will be a very interesting contest, probably run in 3:56 (possibly better).

La V-le-neck is psyched out by Kendrick. His French fear instincts are getting the better of him.
This meet was barely better than recent ones. I'd hardly call it sensational anyway.

Kendrick is clearly on a roll, lots of smiling, was clapping and encouraging the public to clap for Lavillenie. Got lucky too with the 5m77 and 5m82 bars shaking seriously before staying put.
Overall there seemed to be a lot of camaraderie within the Pole Vaulter's group, chatting, clipping on each other's bibs, standing next to the "wind sock" and untangling it and giving guidance. Nice to see !
Kendrick's on a roll, but he was always like that between vaults. He's a good friend with Lavillenie, who is out of shape clearly because of an injury and likes nothing better than to win in front of his home crowd, and so was very frustrated that he was vaulting poorly. The crowd in Paris usually focuses on him the entire competition.
Salazar couldn't get Rowbury to medal over Simpson, although he did get her to American records at 1500 and 5000, so he did the next best thing, helping Hassan get to a level where she can push Simpson out of a medal. It's his people or nobody. He doesn't care about American medals if it's not his people, which explains his animosity toward all the other American training groups, even with Jerry's kids within Nike. I hope it doesn't work but right now Hassan is the best (until Dibaba is on the program again or Ayana drops down) and has to be the favorite for world's.
Al Sal will go home devastated in London coz Sifan Hassan will not even feature in the top three. Take that to the bank. The battle is between Kipyegon, Dibaba and Muir with Muir likely to win over Kipyegon and Dibaba finishing third.
As a spectator, Paris was not sensational. It was tremendously disappointing, lacking star-power and marquee events like the M1500m and missing the likes of Van Niekerk, etc.
Yeah there wasn't any huge thrill (not helped by the stadium that is nice but smallish, still too big for the 14865 people announced to have shown up) but it was a pleasant evening nonetheless.
