Males generally work the more dangerous/manual jobs in Western/developed countries (where the gender lifespan gap is more pronounced). They also engage in riskier behavior.
My primary care physician said that estrogen has some protective qualities to it. For example, higher estrogen is the reason why females are less likely to have heart disease.
Men live a lot longer but don't bother to make it verifiable. Ask Shigechiyo Izumi who was eaten by a bear while hiking in the wilderness at age 122.
Women live longer because they get healthy, protein rich injections from men for many years.
Try it if you want to live long. You will probably even like it.

Fact: women that swallow protein in a body temperature fluid, live longer. All women should swallow.
The gap is closing. Probably won't be much difference for people currently in their 20s.
I believe it's because women relieve a lot of stress by talking about their feelings/problems, where men often don't. Stress will kill you.
I believe this is the same reason 99% of serial killers are men.
I'm jealous of their longer lifespan, but women have other flaws. For instance, reject a woman, and she will never let it go. One of the many defects of their kind. Also, weak arms.

Smaller people in general tend to live longer. Probably has to do with the fact that their heart doesn't have to work as hard. There's also a strong correlation between lifespan and calorie restriction (to me, NOT worth it!). Women tend to be smaller and eat less.
I'm guessing that through modern medicen we've made child birth relatively easy procedure. Women used to die in childbirth all the time, now we can save those women. Also estrogen isn't as toxic to your heart as test.
Men are more likely to be shot or be involved in a car accident.
Men have more risky behaviors and are this likely to contract diseases.
Men work more dangerous jobs
Men are less health conscious. A man is more likely to drink himself into an early grave or engage in other unhealthy lifestyles.
Women who are 15-20 pounds overweight tend to live longer than their husbands who mention it.
