I get the sense that you don't know what either means.
No worries, though, you still have plenty of time to study for next year's SAT.

Maybe if you had a brick phone from 80's Wall Street. People have got to stop overthinking running lol. I race with my iPhone 99% of the time and have PR'd consistently in the last year, it weighs less than 3 gels.

Hang up your phone and retrieve it during your warm down! Unbelievable! As Bugs Bunny says, "What a MaRoon"!
Place the phone IN your shoe, directly under your heel. Make sure it's between the insole and the midsole, so that it's well-cushioned and immediately available upon crossing the finish line. See? Problem solved with this simple low tech approach. Yes, by the way, you're welcome.
I came across this yesterday. Thinking of buying for to use when I go to the shore in the summer and still want to get a run in.
guys ultimately I had someone drive me at the last minute and left it in the car. initially I was going to take the train, though.
crisis averted. we can unscramble the bombers.
This is a little insulting, I don't have a car so my parent will be driving me to the race and not available after. I looked at this thread hoping to find some nice advice about where to store a phone having never run a half-marathon before, but it seems like most of the responses are pretty mocking, insensitive, mean, and kind of just plain stupid.

How are you getting home?
There's always the Christopher Walken method:
Go post on Letsjog.com and get away from here.
It's a good day to troll on LRC.
Take a selfie and what do you see?
A picture of yourself, upload it to the cloud.
Will it stay there for eternity?

Is Jamin Semaphore Slim?
He really needs a girlfriend to stop him
from trollin'
Yes, leave your cellphone at home.
And, keep your thoughts all alone.

Do you guys bring your phones out to a half-marathon to communicate with people afterwards? I don't particularly want to run with it ... but what's the alternative? Put it in gear check and hope it's there later? Armband it? Leave it at home?
Maybe I should find a bar with one of those phone storing devices ...
Bluetooth has very limited range. I hope you understand that you won't be able to listen to your favorite Taylor Swift tunes on your gigantic Beats headphones.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
