Hardly. Add him to the pile of OTC flops.
Also Jordan Macnamara pulled a DNF

Maybe OTC should get off instagram and start focusing on training.
Fleet could seriously contend for an All American finish at D3s
Time to hang it up and join the rest of us in the workforce.
Semenya could give him a run for his money.
Pouring rain during his section and nobody made standard or even got after the pace. Guy has had a tough chase. Hard to blame him for stepping off when way off pace in this one.

The rabbit went 50.7. And Chris Low was the only one to get on the pace. But Low was rewarded with a 1:47.13. That should be good enough to make the Trials.

You obviously didn't see who he was replying to. It was to the comment about Jordan pulling out. What a b*tch.
$70k/year.
Crazy.
It wasn't raining during the 1500. J Mac went straight to the back and then stepped off after hitting 600 in over 1:30.
Fleet is a talent with an injury history going back to high school. He's a nice kid, but may not be durable enough to make it as a pro.
Well at least he can still dunk a basketball. Well at least according to OTC's Instagram.
Not every good collegian is going to make it as a pro. On this board if a guy fails a bit at the next level, he's trashed.
In NCAA football and men's basketball, about 90-95 percent of the athletes don't make it at the next level, including some collegiate superstars. Most fans of those sports understand this.
Why is Fleet any different than those football and basketball guys? He had a great collegiate career and is trying his best as a pro. I never envisioned him as an Olympic medalist anyway, but at least he's out there giving it a try. Do most here expect all former collegians to dominate as pros and win Olympic medals? It seems like that.
Fleet and Greer have been just massive, massive disappointments since college. Fleet looked like a legitimate contender at USA's during his last year at Oregon (and I believe did get 4th!?!?)
Seems like he would be better off joining the Andy Powell stable of athletes and get back to where he was a few years back.
OTC needs to be canned before they ruin more talented and able MD guys.
Powell > Rowlands by a lot.
The best coach for OTC is already in Eugene.
Rowlands was a tough SOB competitor himself and just can't get these guys to compete. Rowlands also has never really coached; Vin just wanted someone he could control. That being said, he has done a marvelous job with Mead and a couple of the foreign athletes and obviously Nick when he was there. This whole group should retire though.
Maybe he can get a job as a hair model for Clairol.
Seems like he does well with actual distance guys like Mead and Farrell (and Nick symmonds is a wild card, but I think he would be good anywhere because his head is on straight).
I'm surprised that an NCAA outdoor champ like Fleet hasn't taken off this graduation. Maybe he has had injury problems. He might still improve markedly with a year of health.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
