How many GUs are everyone planning on taking at your turkey trot tomorrow? I'm thinking 2 at the start and maybe another at mile 2.
Also conflicted if I need my quad water belt for this distance.
Thoughts?

What does Runner's World suggest?

This.
One 45 minutes before, one 10 minutes before, and then one at each mile split. Recover with a 500 kcal Endurox drink.
How long after the run for the Endurox?

Within 30 minutes.
Why not crush the Endurox before the race so you're recovered before the race even starts? Oh, and don't forget your compression socks for the after party. Wouldn't want to get a blood clot! I usually tuck them in my fuel belt so I can put them on as soon as I cross the finish line.

Great advice. If it's above 50F, I also wear cooling sleeves during the race.
If below 50F definitely hit Salvation Army or Goodwill today for some start line throw away clothes.
Don't forget a salt tablet after mile 1, and again at mile 3 just before the finish. Definitely want to avoid hyponatremia
Bart? Is that you? Been drinking again?
Something I forgot...make sure you hit up the port-a-john ~ 5 minutes before the start. There's never a line that close to race time.

Yep. That gatorade stuff. It's good for hydration you know?
OMG!!!!! Don't forget to wear the official race shirt during the actual race. Not sure why not many people do this. Essential for your mid-race selfie on Facebook.
Hope the finisher's medal fits over my altitude training mask. Got to get the playlist ready.
They give medals for these things? Typical. Probably catering to the millenials. Everyone gets a trophy.
All very informative thus far. Thank you all. Planning on 3 GUs Just Plain Flavor and hitting Noodles for Pasta Dinner tonight.
Get the Mac and Cheese. Need fat so you don't burn all of your glycogen stores in the 5K
I love this so much
