Is there drug testing in NCAA xc and tf? If so, how and when is it conducted?

I don't know but would be interested in finding out from those in the know.
There is random drug testing as well as drug testing at championships. Your coach can tell you more.
In D3, I know in TF they test the top 3 individuals at nationals and then 2 randomly from the rest of the field. XC is something like top 5 then 2 out of the next 30. It's just a urine test. No random tests out of competition as far as I know.
Thank you for the information. Sounds like drug testing in the NCAA is pretty lax. I guess PEDs are not an issue?

Sounds like a recipe for microdosing.
Seems like member schools should simply be required to run tests once or twice per semester. It would be part of a student's learning experience.

Yeah, cause learning to pee in a jar is a valuable experience for every college kid.
D1 here. Was tested by NCAA randomly during outdoor last year, and indoor the year before. Also tested at outdoor ncaa's last year (first time to make it).
Mid Major D1 runner here. Never got tested in college which is good because I was indulging most days. Only made it to NCAA XC once, though, so I probably had it easier than guys at big name schools who are at a lot more big meets.

No. It's a recipe for doping.
#1 NCAA is not WADA compliant
#2 NCAA is not a WADA signatory
#3 Even if they signed onto the WADA standards, it doesn't mean anything.
NOP and USATF being the perfect example of how doping programs are executed but athletes never testing positive.
So, yeah, you think those linemen the Pac 12 schools manufacture in one summer are natural?
BREAKING: Leonard Korir not going to Paris! 11 Universality athletes get in ahead of him!
Hicham El Guerrouj is back baby! Runs Community Mile in Oxford
What is the most stupid running advice you've ever heard?🤣(It can be funny)
Are Asics, Saucony, and New Balance envious of Brooks, Hoka ,and On?
