Lol. I'm an engineer at a leading medical device company, and this is one of the things that hat we're working on right now. You don't realize just how long the human circulatory system is, and just how difficult (actually impossible) it would be to clear the entire system. We've actually made incredible strides just catching the various debris in the vena cava, before it can kill you (and it's a far from perfect design), but it's absolutely insane to think that we could treat everyone's entire circulatory system with today's technology.
I know that I'm posting in a troll thread, but this stuff is my life, and I really believe that we might be able to make this happen before I die. It's really a matter of being able to accurately measure someone's insides and designing custom devices just for their bodies. And I really believe that we're only a couple of years (maybe more than a couple) out from that happening.
It's only a matter of finding a way to make it cheap, which is NOT easy, as much as I wish it could be. But it's going to happen, some day. We actually are close, right now. It's really only a matter of cost at this point. It would probably be millions per person, but we could make it happen.
It'm not trolling here. I've spent the last 18 months (in and off) working on this, and I really believe that it's going to happen. Just make sure that you have good insurance.
