Are these real and if so, how does Flotrack get and publish them before the NCAA does???

Yes, they're real. The NCAA's timing site has posted the entries here:
http://rtspt.com/ncaa/d1outdoor15/
On those entries, coaches say whether they are entering an athlete in an event or scratching him/her. Flotrack removed the scratches and put the top 48 in each event.
Here are the entries in each category:
East men:

East women:

Jenkins and Cheserek, as expected, are both entered in 5,000/10,000
All links say "This Webpage is not available"
Jenkins is also in the 1500

That's weird. They all work fine for me.

No he is not. Notice the S next to his name for "scratch."
Are you kidding? The west is way deeper than the east don't act like they east is better
The last few spots in the East are about the same as the last few spots at D3 Nationals. The steeple is really weak.

Look at who is dominating the East in the 5000m and 10000m
3 of the top 4 in the 10000m are from Syracuse
Number 2 (and number 10) the 5000m is from Syracuse
Shelby Houlihan is listed in the 1500 and 5k...that is very interesting. I spoke with her at Drake and she said they are going to focus on the 1500 repeat. She also said she is not a huge fan of even 3k, much less 5k, but perhaps she is thinking of adapting to open options for post-collegiate. She has good range at 2:01 and sub 16. I did not see a semi-final for 5k at NCAAs, did I miss it? Obviously without one, the 5k doesn't really inhibit her 1500 performance (much like the 3k indoors), so maybe they figure it won't hurt to go get the job done in the 15, and then see what she can do in the 5?
It's a shame the NCAA can't make the Steeple/1500 double a possibility as well, I would love to see Quigley and/or O'Connor in that 1500!

Those aren't actual entries. Flotrack pulled this crap during indoors, too. They took the descending order list, cut it down to the "limit" for each event and declared them entries. It's false advertisement.

The actual delcared entries are now up and have been updated on our website on the front page.

As recently as last year, people were questioning the fact that Knight chose to go to Syracuse.
Now he looks like a genius. As it turns out, it now seems to be the University of choice for long distance runners in the East. On top of it, it's actually a good University...
