I almost feel kind of bad for him. He clearly cheated, and he has clearly painted himself into a corner. He is probably panicking about the public backlash of it all, so instead he acts like he is taking on the trolls. At some point this has to be exhausting for him. Seems like it would be easier to just admit you cheated and move on with your life.
I doubt it. We all thought, at some point, he would do the right thing. Then we thought he'd do the smart thing, and he didn't.
Now he just shows up at races and school functions in disguise. And it appears the wife just goes to work and skips the school functions, so she doesn't care if he keeps lying. He's got friends and relatives who know, but simply keep quiet about it, which still laughing behind his back.
And then he likes to laugh because he thinks he got away with it. But that's because he thinks eventually we'll get bored and go away. But there are plenty of us who have dedicated ourselves to make sure he doesn't cheat or bully anybody ever again. The Turkey Trot was just the beginning.
Wherever he races, we will be there to check his numbers and photos.
Whatever social media he uses, we will be there to inform people they have a douchebag and cheater among them.
And we have Cecily Tynan on our side - who has 43,000 followers.
Mike used to think he could push around the DJ's at East Coast until one of them grabbed him by the neck and slammed his head against the wall. Now he thinks he can push around the runners on the LR forums. He's about to get his head slammed a few more times.
