rossi related content is all over my FB. the number of folks that still believe he ran 3:11 is still incredibly high. I have seen the phrase "until proven guilty" so darning many times.
I don't have the energy required to fight back.

^^^ Great post. We don't really need the disclaimers. We only pay if it he actually runs the whole race in a given time but we added in the disclaimers to avoid a court case of "I ran the race as I'm in the result" and us arguing "No you didn't, you cut the course."
Sure thing. $1000 if someone (other than a confession by Rossi or someone related to him) can prove he cheated in the race and gets him DQd from either race. Not future races. Just the Turkey Trot and Via.
It defies logic and is laughable to even consider that he ran 3:11:45. I should have never offered the 3:25 challenge. It was stupid on my part. The point was proving that he cheated on the 3:11 but I wanted to also shut down the dumb 10% of people who think you can run the race of your life and chop 14 minutes off your marathon time. So by offering money for the 3:25, I was being bold but maybe stupidly bold as a 3:24:59 is at least conceivable.
Rojo,
Will you please let me pace rossi?
I would love nothing more than to tempt him with my dingleberries.
you can pace yourself out of here, you little turd.
Might come to nothing but maybe some incentive for others to take a closer look at their pics or vids. Thanks man.

I'm thinking maybe we've seen the last of Rossi, breaking 20 for 5k and picking up $10k was his only outside chance of gaining any credibility with the non-running community. He's not going to do that now by the end of the year and the other times are a complete pipe dream for him. He'll say I was on track for sub 20 in December after my 20:25 but the ankle you know... He's now closed his Twitter so I'm guessing it's sayonara to Rossi the runner but it's been entertaining.
Perhaps the latest turn of events finally convinced Mike it's time to withdraw and stay low. Something many suggested he do if he wasn't able to confess.
He's spent months attacking and trying to intimidate and finally cheat his way to some redemption.
Each time it has blown up in his face, spectacularly. Maybe this latest embarrassing fail finally made it sink in.
If I were him, I'd shut up and attempt to get in 3:25 shape (but only contact Rojo and attempt it if his training suggests he can hit it).

Rojo-
Am I naive to think that he could put in a huge 4-6 months JK style base and pull this off? Maybe I'm ridiculously over-estimating the talent it takes to run 3:11 at that age. If I was him, I'd put in 80-100 MPW and atleast find out if I had a chance. My major doubt is he actially knows enough about training to do this the right way. At the level 3:11 is, it's not like your betting he can't run a sub 11 100 or 50 400. Whether or not you can do that that was decided when you were slapped on tail at birth.
He was putting in a fraction of that when he lied about running the 3:11:45. He'd not get to that mileage without a REAL injury at this stage in his development. Maybe in two years, but his work ethic would revolt.

Smart Runnr, not SmartRunnr. Wouldn't call it a thief though, for nothing was stolen. The similar name is thus either a coincidence or coming from one of my many admirers.
Mike Rossi, Cheater-in-Chief, has reopened his twitter feed for the trolls.

I think you are naive.
Don't misunderstand me. When we first put the offers out there, the fact that he could train and improve scared me a little. But he needs to come down a minute a mile to get the 100k. That ain't happening.
It's almost impossible to go from 15 mpw to 80 mpw in such a short time.
1) You are almost certain to get injured.
2) Even if you don't, you're likely to be so tired, it may not help you.
Iwas worried he'd work harder and run the 3:25. That was really my only concern. Based on what he did in the past at shorter distance, I could have seen him running maybe in the 3:30s last year. However, his 5k times was off of short mileage so I imagine he'd be worse at the marathon. Hence I viewed his 3:42 philly race as a good assessment of where he really was. To go from 3:42 to even 3:24 wouldn't be easy.
And no respect either.

No mention of his brand new "PR," but multiple pics of the Dog Days 5k age group medal remain. The guy is N-U-T-S.
Thanks for the reply. I'm also taking for granted the work ethic it takes to do that. I just see it as... If you want to be good, why wouldn't you? Most aren't like that. Definitely not a serial cheater like Rossi.
