None of those are third-world.
Have you ever been outside of Arkanas?
England
Afghanistan
Somalia
Nigeria
Egypt

The ten lowest-ranked countries are usually nine in Africa plus Tajikistan.

Timor-Leste has the lowest GDP per capita and don't forget Afghanistan.
Tuvalu would have been down there if they hadn't increased their annual GDP by 20% by leasing out the .tv internet suffix.
Detroit has to make the list. A few regions in the South probably fit the bill.
nowhere in the western hemisphere qualifies as 3rd world. maybe just maybe Haiti.
I thought it was funny you mentioned mexico. they are one of the richest countries in the world and I have long been ranked 4th and 5th in GDP and per capita income. the people in mexico that are even mildly impoverished or mildly uneducated are the border towns
Africa, Haiti, laos, Malaysia.
Somalia only makes the list because of violence. the people there are not poor in the least but.
india and china should never be on this list. they are huge countries and yes both have a few impoverished districts, but these countries are also loaded with geniuses and a very strong middle class.

Right. The whole continent of Africa.
A few impoverished districts in India? Give me a break:
I don't deny that they have many brilliant people, but that should mean the poverty rate there should be expected to be much less than the global average, not higher. India's poverty rate should be a national embarassment, and I suspect it is for many people there, but not enough.
How many countries have you been to? Do you even own a passport?
You realise Africa is not a country?
Being a total pedant, I would like to point out that third world does not mean poor, it means countres that weren't aligned with either the West or the communists in the cold war.
Basically, Egypt, India, Indonesia and most of Africa.
If you're talking about "developed" countries, that is still a complicated question. Brazil is much richer than Armenia, but also has much worse poverty.
I really hope you aren't considered intelligent in America and I hope you aren't a typical example of the people that live there.
If you are, perhaps the USA should be ranked number one 'most third-worldness'. Whatever the hell that means.
ok

If you agree with the OP then you are severely misinformed also.
For a start, if you know the definition of 'third world' country you would know that Russia cannot and has never been classified as third world. Also large parts of the Middle East including Israel, Iran, Yemen, Oman, and Turkey are all either First or Second world, by definition.
If the OP is actually trying to refer to developing countries then Brazil, India, Turkey and Israel are not developing countries.
So what is it that the OP means? Rank countries by how least American they are? Differing cultures doesn't make one country less developed than another.
