Did anyone else notice how Roesler totally ignored Dana Mecke after today's 800? Mecke went to shake hands and Roesler just walked away. I hope I'm wrong.

Roesler was upset with her time in her post-race interview. Seems she is doubting her training. She has always done sprinting training in the past and now is doing entirely new stuff.
She doesn't seem very upbeat. It sounds like it has been a rough transition to her new training situation and that she is not completely sold on it.
Just watched the post-race comments. That is one unhappy camper.
That's what happens when a great 800 runner goes from being fast and training smart to running with a distance coach who thinks fitness is more important than speed reserve. She needs to switch back ASAP. Her injury is almost certainly from jumping into poor and very different training abruptly. I feel for her and all the kids who experience the same thing at various different levels. 95% of coaches suck and don't understand the sport.
Roesler is only now realizing what every experienced commentator on LR has said: Monday is a disastrous choice for her. I guess she's only 23, but sheesh, didn't she have any decent advisors on board at Oregon?
Very sorry for her... I also don't know how she went to Rose... Bummer
Apparently, Mecke is her training partner...Mecke is a 1500 runner. She showed a pretty good kick at the finish.
Especially after a very similar 800 runner, Maggie Vessey, came and went from Monday.
Centro didn't want her in Nop after they broke up. Berto obliged.
Her new penciled in eyebrows look ridiculous. I couldn't stop looking at them in her post race interview
I thought something looked different...
Like the penciled in eyebrows, it makes her look "surprised" all the time.
why didn't she go to OTC?

Mecke is her training partner. I was there and she did shake her hand and give a pat on the back. Not an enthusiastic one, but she made the effort still. I wouldn't be happy either. She did exactly what I would expect of someone who is disappointed in her performance. I hope she understands that she was injured and opening in 2:03 is okay for only running for 3 weeks or so. She'll be near 2 flat in a month or so I suspect.
That was a good run by Mecke though. Laura tied up bad the last 20m (as can happen in the 800 when you're not sharp) and Mecke took advantage, almost got the W.
Hey willl....you have your before and after pictures reversed.
What a difference. Those penciled eyebrows look as bad as the botox lips some women get.
Maggie Vessey never improved under Rose Monday. As soon as Vessey went back to Greg Brock she ran faster than she had with Monday.
Maybe she should call Brock?
This is a classic example of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Why leave the program that turned you into a 2:00 800 woman? Should have stayed close to UO so she could keep that same training.

No, he's right... She used to pluck em super tiny, now they are more natural and it looks different.
But again, How do coaches like Monday get athletes like Roesler. I guarantee I could find 20 coaches in one day who would be better.
Someone should start a petition or fb page and get trending on twitter. "Run Laura RUN! From Rose Monday!!!"

This is a great idea. I am not on FB. If I were; I would start a petition.
I really like Roesler and want her to succeed. She will never run well with Rose.
Rose must be a great salesperson. She poached Maggie from Greg and screwed up Maggie. Now Rose is on track to screw up Roesler.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
