I feel like these comparisons are fair, yet a little lofty. A bit unfair to compare high schoolers to World and Olympic medalists, but I think their career arc's are very similar to who their counterparts.
Maton like Rupp, is a long distance type with great affinity for the mile. Both from Oregon and had/have the State XC record. Obviously Galen was more successful on the track in regards to distance, but we haven't really seen Maton try anything like a 5k or a 10k.
Fisher is a miler with great range and a big kick. He also knows how to win, like Centro. In high school, Centrowitz was better at the 2 mile than the mile, but he obviously was more middle distance inclined than distance. Fisher is better at XC for sure, but their track performances are similar.
Do you agree?
Who do you think a fair comparison for Tanner Anderson is? John Dressel?
I could see Dressel as a Matt McElroy type
