Post race quotes from the gatlin gun himself:
On running the fastest 200m of his career:
"I honestly wasn't expecting to run that fast. I was trying to ease around the curve, but it wouldn't let me. The sauce wouldn't let me."
On having the best year of his career at 32:
"Ya know, I come into every year, down year or not, with goals. This year I just wanted to go undefeated. The only guy who can be me is me. And not even I can beat me. I'm fast, man."
On aiming for consistent 9.7s:
"Truthfully, I feel good. I'm just on a whole new level this year. I'm on a whole new lotta things this year."
On potentially racing bolt and blake this season:
"If it happens, it happens but I'm not worried about it. My focus is my race, my pace, my veins. Ya know? I'm always moving on to the next thing. You couldn't detect me if I took a sh*t on you."
On WADA/USADA cleaning up the sport:
"I think they're doing a good job. All I can control is my body, my doses. If somebody else messes up with some old sh*t, that's on them. I'm on that new sh*t."
On changes to training this year:
"Nothing drastic, ya know. Just minor things. Working on the start, keeping the strength up, keeping the speed up. And a lot of yams. Gotta eat them yams."
On his career from hereon out:
"I'm not even thinkin about that right now. I feel like I've still got a lot of years left. If you take care of your body and give it what it needs, you run fast. 22, 32, 52--doesn't matter. Age doesn't matter. Hey, I'm here to stay. Long as my urine's clean, I'm here to stay baby."
On drug allegations from Letsrun chuckle-heads:
"What's a chuckle-head?"
He is whistling in the grave yard. Basically telling the IAAF to come and get him...
Who is Gatlin's sponsor?
Bwahaha you're a fool.. Lmao!
He's doing awfully well, but that doesn't mean he is doping. It's certainly possible he's just putting everything together
Sources? Slander?Libel...lawsuit?

I would literally bet my wife and house that he's on drugs. Like seriously, right now, if it meant I'd win a new house and a new wife.
I can't watch sprinting anymore. I'd rather watch Mike Rodgers win a race in 9.90 than see a Gatlin, Blake, Bolt, etc. run sub 9.8 and just ponder the reality of it.
FYI mike Rodgers has a served a doping ban too. If guess you'd lose your new house and new wife as well if you put money on rodgers

You should probably learn the difference.
While I admittedly did forget about that, I was just picking a sprinter on the second tier with a believable time. A 9.72, for instance, is like a tease. Do I get excited or not? Instead I just get angry. At least if I'm watching a 9.90 I can just move on with my day.
Bolt is a different case and I would not bundle him with Justin or Tyson.
Bolt has been doing amazing things on the track since he was a junior with what was horrible running form at the time. Everyone knew once he cleaned up his form he was going to be very special. He stands out on the track - this tall imposing figure, elegant in his stride. It is a bit like watching an 8 year old competing against 5 year olds at times - his stride length is at least 20cm longer than other leading sprinters. Look at the other leading sprinters around him...they are all shorter and stockier. Bolt meanwhile is built a bit like an 800m runner - slender with long strides and the turnover of a much shorter athlete.

Yep.
"I was caught for doping twice and now I'm back and better than ever... and I'm completely clean! That makes sense, doesn't it?"
that would be BALCO.

Gatlin was also a young phenom.
Gatlin was never at the level of Bolt as a youth. Running 19.93s for a 200m as a junior with horrible form and without elite level coaching...Bolt was on another level. People can believe what they want to believe, I'm just saying anyone who follows track and knew Bolt before he became Bolt knows that with his natural ability he was not going to be just another elite level sprinter but rise to the very top.
Gatlin ran 19.86w as a collegiate freshman while also hurdling.
The worst thing that ever happened to Bolt is Blake! In 2008 the whole world thought wow! Bolt has finally done what he promised as a youth and the world begun to scientifically explain why bolt was superior to any other sprinter.. His height blah blah.. all that excrement.. fast forward 2011 blake runs 19.26!!..... 19 point MF 26! With a MF slow reaction and his last 100m was so fast even bolt did not run that fast on the stretch how do u explain this?? Blake's height? Well he's 5'10... The curve on the track in Brussels blah blah?? Ok *rolls eyes*... blake ran 9.69 -0.1!!!!! How do you explain that? So now blake shows he can challenge 9.5 with a decent following wind? Is bolt clean and blake doped?? The fact is when you combine great talent with great pharmaceuticals you get fast times! You won't get a 10.6 athlete to run 9.5 these guys a MF great talents and they dope and run even faster! Marion jones, Tim Montgomery all great talents.. If allyson Felix runs 21.25 next year will you say well uhh she ran 22.11 (-0.5) as a youth? Come on son.. a clean bolt may be the greatest talent in sprinting history I don't know but his clean base is not 9.5 or 19.1.. and I can prove this because of Blake. He's the worst thing that ever happened to his giant friend's legacy. Gatlin has discovered the "yams" his jamaican friends are using and he's taking advantage of it just as powell, gay, mullings all did! Notice I mentioned last 3 because I am sure they were using same substance they just got caught on the basic shxt they use alongside their "yams"
I'm the greatest clean athlete of all time.. I'm the fastest, the baddest the prettiest! I'm a bad bad man LOL.
I firmly believe Bolt's personal best times are still in him. Sub 9.5s 100M and sub 19s 200M are his for the taking if challenged and if he wants it. I believe he is that talented. Blake in his quest to match Bolt may well have peaked in 2012 and injured himself in the process.
And you would be incorrect.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
