Whether he's sponsored or not, I'm sure he still has piles of nice Nike gear.

This^
I'm sure his current sponsor is thrilled to see that.
So he is still training with elite hobby joggers in Texas. This is one way to fail completely. I am thinking whether Nike didn't want to pay because he is short. Silver medal aside, I don't think shoes companies pick just for performance alone.
I'm thinking your an idiot.

You sure about that?

He doesn't have a current sponsor that's the point

I'm quite sure of that as I understand that his current (new) sponsor is Nike. No reason to argue about that on a message board. You can just send him a tweet and ask him
So if you give a lot back to the sport (he does) that means he trains with hobby joggers? Guess some here would prefer a self-centered jerk who won't shake hands with his opponents. Leo does NOT train with hobby joggers, but he is definitely there to support them. I believe he runs for the Austin Track Club (or is associated with them) and has a private coach (Ponsonby).
Those guys in the original photo are not hobby joggers. The tall runner on the far left is Eric Stanley who use to be Leo's team mate at UT. (Photo taken at Austin High School track) Leo makes himself available to everyone: fast runners, "hobby joggers", old runners, high schoolers, and people who are just trying to lose weight. The previous poster is correct in that Leo trains with the Austin Track Club.
It would be nice to see more "elite middle distance runners" coming to Austin which would definitely benefit Leo. Anyway, 2016 is still away and Leo just needs to stay healthy and tuned up before 2015 training gets going.
Maybe some of these Lets Run posters should visit Austin and see just how slow these "hobby joggers" are. You may be surprised.
Also, I've never considered NCAA champ Miles Batty a "hobby jogger"; I don't think anyone would. Yet there he is in the picture, second from left.

I will never support Manzano after his Olympic stunt. I don't like seeing people pledge allegiance to one country and demand accommodation from another.
I am also not a fan of Americans competiting for other countries like in Athens 2004.
I like him better because of his inclusive multinational identity.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
