Time to KICK THEM OUT.

If the allegations of Jamaica doing ONE out-of-competition test in the 3 month prior to the London Olympics are true, their medals should be vacated and Jamaica should be kicked out of the Olympics.

Treat them just like India.

KICK THEM OUT.

I'd like to see if there was any out of competition testing for Oct/Nov/Dec 2011. October thru March would be prime time to be going thru PED cycles, and if those months are zero like Jan & Mar 2012, that's very bad. Should be incredibly easy to verify.

If I were IAAF or WADA, I'd ask for all testing data for last 5 years. If JADCO refuses, do not allow any Jamaican athlete to compete until they comply. Can IAAF or WADA do this?

I see you have taken over from Sprintgeezer with the garbage. Does the d in your moniker stand for dumbas5?

This is sour grapes at best. The US is tired of losing and they are going all guns blazing with this smear campaign with Dick Pound...lol, Conte and some influentials at WADA.

When one country that has lax morals is allowed to control much of the world's politics we have an unfair and unjust society (see global financial crisis). Now they want the world to be brainwashed into believing that a country under an IMF agreement that can't even pay its own bills is sponsoring some state drug program?

What for? To what ends? Gold medals can't fix Jamaica. Jamaica are not Russia, The US, China or East Germany...This is a small island where 65% of GDP goes to pay debt and you think T&F is that important that kids and adults are being drugged so that they can win medals?

You people are either D U M B or insanely jealous and insecure.
Whaaat?

LOL, Coach D. While you're at it. Why not demand that the many T&F medals won by the USA, in the years prior to Balco, also be vacated. I believe Jamaica would benefit greatly from that.

Yes, kick them out. While were at it we should also kick out all countries with at least one athlete who has ever tested positive. Countries like Azmenistan and Sloravia will top the medal tables.

So every time a disgruntled official makes a comment we must investigate?
It is surprising that WADA never knew that tests were not being done? What is WADA's Job? Plus hasn't the Jamaican association busted VCB and AP?

Wouldn't it make more sense to develop a WADA-led, international testing program, so that testing isn't dependent on the resources and leanings of particular national governments?

Wada has to be biggest grandstanding organisation around. They knew the issues Jamaica was having in early 2012 and upped their OCC testing based on this. Why all this foolishness now?

JADCO Okay With Us - WADA
Published: Thursday | August 16, 2012 4 Comments
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has indicated it has no concerns about the operations of Jamaica's anti-doping authorities, despite recent statements from its former president, Dick Pound.

In a statement sent to the RJR Communications Group yesterday, WADA said the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO) was deemed compliant in the compliance report passed by WADA's foundation board last November.

"In order to achieve compliance, an anti-doping organisation needs to satisfy a number of criteria with regard to its anti-doping programme, including having an element of out-of-competition testing," WADA said in its statement.

"It must also have in place anti-doping regulations that allow the programme to function effectively."

hard to test

The statement came days after Pound, an International Olympic Committee member, had told Reuters Television that Jamaican athletes belong to "one of the groups that are hard to test".

"It is hard to get in and find them and so forth," Reuters quoted Pound as saying.

After a meeting with commission members on Monday, JADCO head, Dr Winston Davidson, labelled Pound's "false" statements "a vicious attack on a small country".

Yesterday, WADA said many Jamaican track-and-field athletes are part of the IAAF's registered testing pool and are, therefore, also tested independently of their national anti-doping programme.

"WADA has visited Jamaica several times in the last couple of years to provide guidance and advice to JADCO," the international agency said. "We expect an invitation to return again this year as a result of the appointment of a new CEO at JADCO."

WADA also noted that JADCO is mandated to deliver a report every year to its stakeholders which identifies any anti-doping rules violations, and that WADA had received the report.

"As with all signatories, WADA will continue to monitor and offer assistance where needed to make anti-doping efforts as robust as possible," the agency said.

SprintGeezer right fixed now things starting crumble a bit.

Do WADA have standards minimum that national anti-doping organizations must adhere? Do IOC not enforce them? How can be that all Turkey maybe cut?

Jamaica do what before JADCO, come only 2008?

Nothing's really crumbling, it's business as usual:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/athletics/10258116/Wada-warns-Jamaica-it-faces-expulsion-from-Olympics-over-drugs-testing-failings.html

WADA has the power to investigate, and to find any NADA in non-compliance with the WADA code, by a vote of the WADA board.

Such a finding is only just that, and WADA doesn't have any power to do anything about it. WADA communicates any finding of non-compliance findings to the IAAF and IOC, who then decide what, if anything, they want to do about it.

No way Jamaica will be booted from the Games by IOC. IAAF does whatever IOC tells it to do.

Even more likely is that WADA won't find any violation of the WADA code. WADA KNEW that Jamaica wasn't conducting any tests for long periods during doping seasons, and accepted such lame excuses as "well, we didn't have a CEO at the time". If WADA is willing to bend over backwards to find JADCO in compliance, then that is the end of the story.

Nothing is crumbling, it's business as usual. WADA says that JADCO "must respond", but so what--they will give some half-assed bs story, and WADA will accept it.
