What kind of logic is it that compels a man who finally breaks four minutes to then run a marathon a year later?
Logic has very little to do with running but the obvious logical reason is that there is money to be made on the roads and especially in the marathon and essentially none to be made as even a 3:55 miler let alone a 3:58 one. The other obvious reason is that he wants to. There's no logical reason, outside of the money thing for a tiny handful, for anyone to run a marathon aside from wanting to.
