I've never smoked, but I know the nicotine is addicting. Does the nicotine give the smoker a buzz? What is the draw?

it's the most minor buzz ever, and the tolerance to it quickly goes away to where you need one just to not freak out. most worthless drug ever
you can get quite a strong buzz from dipping tobacco, as it is stronger than cigs. but as the last guy said, you get a tolerance and you will soon need to stuff a handful of it in your mouth to feel anything other than 'ah not craving nic for 30 seconds'.
don't talk about what you don't know.
Yea seriously don't just say things....
A tobacco buzz is very strong. It will knock you on your ass or make you puke WITHOUT question if not taken cautiously. In fact, the brain has specific receptors which SOLE job is to basically wait to be stimulated by compounds with similar structure/function to those found in nicotine.
That said you could have a little or a lot of nicotine just like anything else. Also, for your information Nicotinic receptors are fairly short lasting in their "perceived" effects and more moderate in length with regards to the changes in your physiological homeostasis.
and btw the buzz is pretty awesome on occasion, but smoking is the devil. No surprise there, things that feel good and are bad.
Enjoy the buzz from those first few cigarettes, because it'll never be like that again. Whatever the changes they seem to be permanent. Couldn't agree more - nicotine is a stupid drug.
It's like caffeine. You can get a buzz when you first start drinking coffee, but pretty quickly you need one in the morning just to feel normal.
As an ex-smoker this is my understanding of the cig "buzz"...
The light-headed euphoric feeling you get when you light up is actually caused by carbon monoxide binding to your hemoglobin. This in turn blocks oxygen from binding to the hemoglobin. So it is actually less oxygen delivery to the brain that gives you the "buzz".
Previous posters are right about the tolerance factor. First time users will have a noticeably greater effect. They could even experience dizziness or vomiting. Nicotine is a very powerful substance and extremely difficult addiction to end. In the end there are a million reasons not to use and zero good reasons to keep the habit or begin to use.
Correct. These negras will f you up. I truly enjoy watching someone take a pinch for the first time and swallow some.
That buzz seems to wear off after a few tries. Not the same ever again, enjoy it while you can.
Only from strong tobacco, not usual cigs. If you're a heavy smoker and got used to nicotine, you won't feel any buzz, too. Vape pens and oil vaporizers like https://gypsyvapes.com/lokey-v2-350mah-flip-fob-battery which contain very little nicotine will never provoke a buzz, too.
they are for low IQ subhumans.
I smoke about one cigar a year, inhale the smoke and seriously get pretty buzzed it's about half way between being really baked and strong coffee.
I then feel like sht the next day, headache, upset stomach and mouth tastes like a muffler and definitely don't feel like smoking ever again.
But cool people in the movies do it, so...
I used to smoke cigs in college (first gf smoked them, she was a crazy thot though).
I felt like a god after smoking. Would go to lecture after and have laser like focus.
Yes.
Coffee
Weed
Running

This doesn’t sound right to me. If that was the case then why would dip give you such a strong buzz when there’s no inhalation of carbon monoxide involved? I think nicotine is the primary culprit rather than carbon monoxide
