It's all over. Too bad that drug cheat Merrit stole his chance at 2 gold medals. Oh well, an amazing career.

Wariner looked like he was jogging. He was faster in HS.
He's already made plenty of U.S. teams, so it is impossible for him to not ever make the U.S. team.
Wariner is a bum.
Even as the great white hope he got little mention ahead of the race. Seems like he went from unbeatable to mediocre in a very short period.
Wariner has gotten consistently slower every year since they started testing sprinters for EPO.

Huh?
Went from unbeatable for four years, to number 2 to Merrit in 2008 and 2009, back to number 1 in Merrit's absence in 2010, then injured in 2011.
He was last seen as unbeatable five years ago. He did not become mediocre until today
He still has a chance if he move to the steeple.
Wariner was done already last year. I called it on this board.
I suggested there was something wrong with him, maybe endocrinally, or something like mono, maybe just aging, and it was suggested that he was ailing from turf toe.
I never bought into the turf toe story. Even if it was true, there was, and is, something else wrong with him.
Like I said, last year I was smelling blood in the water. This year, he will get ripped to shreds. Unless he gets some serious rest and home cooking, he will completely collapse this season--and I mean completely. He can't take it anymore.
Dude, go get yourself checked out. You LOOK like you could use some EPO right about now.
Time to move up to the 800!

Having difficulties with the tense of the verb "will (won't) make"?

Fixed
Amazing prediction, really going out on a limb there...

yeah - if wariner was using he sucks at it. hes a puny little punk compared to merrit. he had a great career already, no need to downplay that. he can retire today and be proud
NO OTHER WHITE MAN will ever again win an Olympic sprint medal in the Olympics.
I think he still has an outside shot--a FAR outside shot--at making the team, if he really takes care of himself this year.
Even if he does make the team, I think that he will get crushed in London, no matter how good care he takes of himself.
My bet is on complete collapse. His disappointment from mediocre performances will be exacerbated by frustration, and the result will be that he will try too hard. I think that he will spiral downward into oblivion. He was on the razor's edge of elite performance for a very, very long time--look at his sub-44 history, it is incredible. To maintain that fine edge any longer would take more than he has. Maybe he should have gone up-and-down like Merritt or Gatlin, he would be better-preserved.
Other than that, Welcome to masters track, Wariner.
Which is it?
Wont ever make the team, or
Won't make the team at this rate ?
"Won't ever make the team at this rate" makes no sense whatsoever
He should try running in Vibram 5fingers. It worked for Barefoot Ted!
Need to check the meaning of the word "ever." Try "ever again" next time and you won't come off as illiterate.

Do you really think the OP was making a prediction for the 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 teams?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
