Mile 23 5:05
Meb is now to front after 23. Hall right behind him. Abdi now falling 5 meters back.
Ritz still 4th and Brett Gotcher is reportedly the guy in 5th place
The problem is that right now, while they are tying up and struggling to get to the finish line with ever-slowing splits, G. Mutai, Makau, and Kirui would be picking up the pace and leaving the American contingent minutes behind.
What we are missing is someone to throw in a 4:30 mile to win this, oh yeah, those guys aren't here!

Can we get a report of who leaders are??

lead men maybe slowing to decrease the chance of blow up + increase speed of recovery to get in a better training block for olympics.

Obviously true for Ritz, but didn't Hall move to altitude. I don't believe he was born in Big Bear, was he?
Hall was born in Washington state and moved to Big Bear later on.

God. I've having a great day, too, but if I had to see Big Head Todd it would be the worst day of the month for me.
I think we should finally agree that a system that makes a great runner should not be changed. It's after these runners get mental complexes and start bounding around to different coaches and systems that they suffer and never reach their old form.
For instance, Webb will only do well under Razcko if he goes back to him soon, if not, he will never be the same again.
If Ritz doesn't return to a Hudson or Wetmore type system, he will never be the same.
It's no surprise that the Meb and Abdi have been under the same coaching style for a VERY long time. As have the rest of the best runners in the world.
I love how posters were earlier implying 2:07 pace was easy for Hall.
Abdi 20 meters behind Hall and Meb who are starting to lap the slower women. Meb slightly in front.
Ritz still back in 4th.
Abdi just hit the wall, dropping
Wish they would finish so I could get my run in. Quit slowing down guys!
BTW Rojo and Wejo, I assume you hopped up the site today to prevent crashing? Running great. Good job.
I think it's safe to say that in that field, Hall wouldn't be feeling the effects of pace-setting for most of the race.

Altitude matters.
Facts matters a lot more than fiction and superstition.
Khannouchi, Hall, Adbi, Meb. NONE of them were born at altitude.
Abdi, Ritz or Gotcher. Who for third?
ha ha! Nice piorities!
