Unfortunately he will somehow make money off of this.
You may or may not remember me in the early threads...regardless I finally checked back in after seeing Scott was still on the case (I'm from Michigan as well).
I said it was quite simple from the beginning and it "really" is. Stay at the back of the pack and work your way up to a point and then get off the course. Don't worry, you will never see "those" runners again.
Get back on, regardless of how (there are several ways), and you've put yourself back in the race. If, that's if a runner sees you coming out of the woods or wherever, you were taking a potty break. He or she will have to dispute and prove it.
Coincidentally, cover your number even though you know you aren't suppose to do that and claim to be a real runner.
Don't show up at check points except possibly those near the end, how convenient.
Run 5k races and 10 mile races at a slower pace that is to be expected and cheat at those as well (Bobby Crim?). Then what the hell, cheat on a damn relay as well? Shameless!
Then get caught.
Now people do tons of research trying to prove you are a cheat, which is fine.
Then write a book or send your story to Lifetime Television for Women and you have now become richer than the average dentist.
Now do the talk show thing and tell your story.
This is nothing more than Rosie Ruiz and Oscar Miranda taken to a whole different level. Rosie and Oscar both bit off more than they could chew. Rosie going for first place and not knowing what intervals were when asked and Oscar running a time that he couldn't maintain for 10k on his best day, then of course retiring. I had the priviledge to talk to Will Cloney once and I think he was too nice in even giving Oscar a second chance, but... I guess he had to.
Why did this fella from Michigan do these things in races, because he could.
What is he? Nothing more than a cheat who unfortunately will be rewarded.
Wait for it folks, just wait for it.
