This is huge. Gotcher has always had so much talent just waiting to explode, which he finally started to tap into last year with prs in the 5k/10k, and a debut in the half after a sub par college career. This is a huge step for him onto the US scene.

Good luck with that. Unless you know someone on the media truck, you will have a hard time figuring that out. Local news coverage was terrible. All I know is that Meb gapped Ritz by mi 4 and had about 30 sec on him at mi 9. Ritz closed up the gap over the last three, but Meb held him off. Great run for Meb after all he has endured the past year.

The top three women were grouped up through 9 mi. Boulet put on a move sometime after mi 10.

That is all I could devine from being on the course and watching the broadcast.

Pretty much Meb out in front with Ritz 10-20 seconds behind from about 2-3 miles in.

There appears to be a new influx of elite dudes to Flag.

The Flagstaff guys run for adidas Mcmillan Elite.

This is awesome for Meb. He had a rough 2008 and it looks like things will be better for him in '09. He sounded optimistic going in and it sounds like he took the race by the scruff of the neck. Glad it paid off for him.

i really did not expect meb to win, i didn't even think he would be top 3 but good for him. gotcher must really be wired for longer races, who cares about what he can run in the 5k/10k this spring, he needs to keep going and try a marathon soon. great run by joel hamilton as well.

I was at the race got a cool pic of the leader and ritz was really hoping to see ritz win but it was a awesome day for racing weather was nice. marathon mens course record was broken pretty cool.
