I have been married for 12+ years and have 4 kids. We still have sex 4-5 times a week (which I think is more than when we first got married.) So, it doesn't happen to everyone.

i think that right there is a testament to a good future, that being she cares about having sex. i can and will justify cheating if she refuses to put out though, and will even pay for a handjob in Kansas City if it comes down to it.

i think after reading this thread and the "25 male single" thread, it seems no matter how you slice it, and mans test in this life is a woman. said best by Chris Rock. if there were a bunch of widely publicized singles gatherings, often, and we all kind of just had fun amongsth one another, without 2.5 kids and a fat wife wearing sweatpants, then I think the marriage-minded folk would be more envious of OUR life. it just seems we get married and start a family because its the norm, and our ranking among peers is seen significantly lower (and classified as "picked over" in the "25 and single male" thread) abnormal.

This thread highlights many things, but the fact that sex can become very mundane for both parties. Men want it more inherently, but women need to be given the right motivation. Not all women, but most.

jeeze this is depressing thread.. but damn it's true. my wife (13 yrs of marriage)has just turned into a non-sexual being. She's attractive, pretty, only 38 yrs old- but she does not even think about sex, or sexual things. She will actually put "sex" on a weekend To Do list. How freaking sad is that? She has to be reminded to have sex with me!

Your situation, while far from ideal, is better than many men have it. Her willingness to put in on the calendar shows that she cares about you even if it does nothing for her. How sad is it when your wife won't even take your needs or desires into consideration.
