Plus we point out a high school meet in Georgia produced more World Championship qualifiers than the USATF Distance Classic and praise an American who won an international marathon last week.

Last year, on the comeback trail after hamstring surgery, Yohan Blake, the second-fastest man in history, was running and losing "B" heats in Europe. Now, the man formerly known as "The Beast" is back in form, having exorcised his demons. "The nickname was holding me back. I keep on getting injured and it was related to the beasts in the Bible ... God didn't like it, so I had to change it."

The United States' first street meet is in the books. The atmosphere was great but not everyone was a fan of the temporary track. Yohan Blake was candid in the mixed zone afterwards, calling the track "atrocious." That's not all he was candid about as he also said that the Russians should be given a second chance in Rio and explained how God told him to give up "The Beast" nickname. Blake was the last finisher in the race won by Javon Francis in 46.21.

Lomong got the win in 7:42.19 to Lagat's 7:42.75. Andy Bayer was 6th (7:48.49). Switzerland's Selina Buchel took the 800 in 1:59.21, beating Chanelle Price by .03.

Steve was given unprecedented access to a workout session of the famed Racers Track Club and learned the sprinters actually work their asses off. Afterwards, he celebrated in style at Usain Bolt's sports bar. Steve loved the establishment - the only problem was the only place he got to watch track on the TV was in the bathroom.

Steve Soprano went inside the weight room with sprint stars Yohan Blake and Warren Weir and then had lunch at the car wash with Weir, who later gave a crazy 'Champs' pump up speech to Calabar High. Before the night was done, Steve decided he absolutely had to go for a 10 mile run at 1 am on the streets of Kingston.
