Tabor Stevens - The American Star You Likely Haven't Heard Of - Gets A Big Win, So Does German Fernandez And Michael O'Hara X 4, Geoffrey Kamworor And President Bush

Tabor Stevens, the NCAA XC champ and fastest American collegiate steepler last year, got a big win, so did German Fernandez, and Michael O'Hara got four of them. More track action, coaching advice, and a chance encounter with Geoffrey Kamworor in the airport which reminded us of Paul Tergat and Moses Tanui meeting President Bush.

2015 UW Indoor Preview Results: Shannon Rowbury (2:40.25 / 4:27.86) Beats Teammates Jordan Hasay, Treniere Moser In Both The 1000 And Mile; Matt Centrowitz Wins 1000 / Mile Double (2:19.53 / 3:58.60) Over Evan Jager (2:20.39) And Cam Levins (3:58.75)

Stanford's Elise Cranny was 4th in the 1000 (2:42.39). In other action Mary Cain was 4th in the 600 (1:30.03) and then won the 800 (2:07.21),  German Fernandez was 2nd in the 3000 (8:04.59). Pros Andy Bayer, German Fernandez, Phoebe Wright, Geena Lara also competed.

Results From 2014 Cork City Meet In Ireland: Marielle Hall Wins 3000 In 8:54.48 As Ireland's Fionnuala Britton Is 3rd (9:01.01)

Kyle Merber got the victory in the mile (3:56.72) over Riley Masters (3:56.75) and Trevor Dunbar (3:57.19). Heather Kampf won the 800 (2:01.25); NZ's Zane Robertson got the 3K win in 7:41.37.

Distance Results From 2014 Morton Games In Ireland: Will Leer Wins Mile In 3:51.82 over Pat Casey (3:52.62) And Cory Leslie (3:53.44).

Zane Robertson was 4th (3:53.72) and Kyle Merber 5th (3:54.76). Molly Huddle won the women's mile in 4:26.8 as Phoebe Wright won the 800 in 2:01.91. Mark English took the 800 with 1:45.79 as US's Ryan Martin ran 1:45.79 for 2nd. Juan Luis Barrios won the 3K in 7:44.21 over Trevor Dunbar (7:45.09).

Highlights: Iowa State's Edward Kemboi won the 800 in a US-leading 1:45.98 as Phoebe Wright won the women's race in 2:03.39. Virginia's Adam Visokay ran 7:57 to beat Craig Forys (7:59), Stephanie Garcia won over a competitive field in 9:11. 9 broke 14 in the 5000 as Wisconsin's Reed Connor won in 13:37.42 over Villanova's Patrick Tiernan (13:37.73) and Shadrack Kipchirchir (13:40.92), Duke's Juliet Bottorff won the women's 5000 in 15:49.80.

Nick Symmonds ran 1:48.64 beating a field that included Brooks Beast TC teammates Marck Wiezorek (3rd) and Cas Loxsom (4th) as Heather Kampf ran 2:04.28 to beat Phoebe Wright by .01 and Maggie Vessey was 5th. Sarah Vaugn won the mile in 4:35.07.
