After CAS overturned the IAAF's hyperandrogenism policy last year, Semenya has been unstoppable; the only question in Rio is whether she wants to break the world record. Rabat DL Preview: A Fast Men's 800, The Return Of Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad And Can Francine Niyonsaba Challenge Caster Semenya?

The Diamond League's debut in Africa features some great distance matchups. Sifan Hassan Runs 1:58.50 and Goes Home (So Do the Americans): The Madness of the Women's 800 Semifinals

24 women, 10 PRs and no Americans in the final. The three women's 800 semifinals were insane as Canada's Melissa Bishop led all the qualifiers in 1:57.52 (a two-second PR!). Americans Molly Ludlow and Brenda Martinez went home as the final time qualifier was a ridiculous 1:58.35.

Day 5 Morning Session: Disaster for Alysia Montaño and Close Calls for BMart and Ludlow; All 3 Americans Through to Men’s 5,000 Final

Montaño went down with 200 to go in her heat and her protest was unsuccessful so she'll sit out the semis and final. Molly Ludlow was only sixth but her heat was by far the fastest on the day and she made it in on time (2:00.70) while Brenda Martinez had to work for it in the final 100 after being boxed in. Ben True comfortably grabbed an auto qualifier in heat 1 of the 5,000 while Ryan Hill and Galen Rupp made it on time in a much faster heat 2.
