Just speculation on my part, but with USA's just 1 month away, perhaps most would rather focus on getting a few final weeks of good preparation in (in the case of some, at altitude) rather than fly around the world to race. Between Pre and a handful of others, there are enough quality meets in the states that it isn't 100% necessary to fly to Europe to race.

Yep. I would like to see Merritt (and James) against Van Niekerk in this one.

Haha, no ... that would be Nicholas Kiptonui Bett who is running the steeple. 8:19 PR, just competed at the Beijing world challenge meet.

The 400h guy is Nicholas Kiplagat Bett.
