Chirs Solinsky talks below after running 13:50 to finish 8th in his 5000 heat in Heusden, Belgium. Solinsky has had a number of sub-par races in Europe, but says he didn’t come for fast times. The point of these races for him was “jumping on the pain train” and learning how to hurt again in races. He’s been talking about a fall marathon debut, but here says while that could still happen, they may push that back to the spring. He plans on racing some US road races this summer, possibly Beach to Beacon 10K or Falmouth 7-mile.
