I know it's hard to believe, but it's just how I am. Take it for what it is. Help me improve even more and reduce risk of injuries. I can be stubborn.
I'm not the first person to run through pain. It can work. The human body/brain was designed to be able to keep running/going under severe damage/pain. Cyclists crashed and ruptured half of their leg and finished a race. Ultrarunners broke something and finished the last 20-30 miles.
Imagine life millions of years ago. Humans had no weapons yet, they were desperately persistance running animals like deer to death. After 5 hours, someone's foot is starting to hurt. Should he stop, give up and starve? No, he somehow keeps going for 2 more hours, and gets his feast that will last him through another week.
The important thing to realize is just because I can run through the pain, and make it easier by switching shoes, it probably was not smart to do it. I'm essentially gambling, maybe it gets better throughout the run, but in my case, it led from no pain at walking to pain at walking and bending, I made it a lot worse and probably needs longer to recover now. Stupid, I know, but in retrospect it's always easy to say that.
