Low infection count because they listened to the experts. Jacob Frey sounds clever.

The "experts" told us the virus doesn't transmit human-to-human, travel bans don't work, masks don't work, etc.

Real experts. we are squashing it here
Squashed it how? Is it even flu season yet down there? You expect to catch cold in the summer?
I hope you all haven't spent your "bail out the economy" card already because if you do it again once winter hits, you will be mega screwed.
OR you could wise up and follow the ever-emerging science that says you don't need to do anything. Relax, this is similar to flu after all!

Everything I said came from the World Health Organization.
You don't expect to catch a cold in the warm weather months but you can.

80% owned and operated by Big Pharma.
Flu seemed to be a dying business model- C19 Inc. making Wall St. happy again. Until further notice.
Remember the WHO suggested everyone wear blindfolds to protect them from seeing what's right in front of them.
Oh and the opioid crisis- gotta love those health experts at the WHO.

It's because in Minnesota, all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average.
Prairie Home Companion aside, MN tends to have a high standard of compliance to policies. It's also the only state to go to Mondale and vote for a professional wrestler governor - it's a unique place with a unique culture.
Jacob Frey is good looking, and good with sound bites. He's a so-so mayor with a thin grasp on long term policy, a love of brandable buzzwords, and a lack of skepticism about big developers and speculators. The city has a weak mayor setup. He's mostly a figurehead.
Tim Walz is the smart one keeping the curve down in Minnesota. His public speaking skills, tact, and carefully cultivated fatherly persona are a big piece of why people are following the guidelines. Minnesotans' zeal for summer travel and all those tax dollars Frey has spent to sell Mpls as a Destination City (full of luxury apartments) may undo all that hard work this summer.
Are you all on crack? Minnesota's death rate is starting to skyrocket. We just passed Wisconsin for total deaths after mocking them for being so far ahead of us and are setting new highs for daily deaths every single day...
All Frey and Walz have managed to accomplish is kill thousands of small and medium sized business...

You don't expect it because it's rare, because it's too warm and people are outside a lot.
Aren't there supposed to be a lot of Swedes in Minnesota? I guess they didn't get the memo from the old country about how to handle a disease with flu-level risk of death.
Keen for that Transtasman bubble to open up, I want to hit the GC this winter!

Hey Wiggy,
965952 =/= 2600.
In fact, 965942 >> 2600
Also, nearly 55,000 fatalities. I know, I know, they're FAKE fatalities, in a conspiracy perpetrated on the incels among us to prop up the physician lobby.
You really are an idiot. Insufferable and dense.
At this point, piss, we're basically at the endgame of an argument over whether we were in Argentina or Mongolia, and you're going "oh yeah you said we'd be IN Buenos Aires, not the suburbs!"
55,000 is no worse than the flu, even if it weren't cooked numbers, which you acknowledge in your clumsy attempt at sarcastic denial. I was right all along.
What you don't realize is because it's ME who is right here, you're going to cling to your nonsense for possibly the rest of your life, out of the usual hubristic pride that prevents so many from admitting defeat by my far superior intellect. Thus your desperate plea for me to stop posting and save you from yourself. Nope. Only YOU can save you.
Stop wishing I weren't so smart, and accept reality. If you stop and think about it, you may realize I'm giving you good advice here, even though you're trying to provoke me. Take heed.

Oh, nonononono...! Don't stop posting wiggy, this is great! I come to this site for entertainment, and you deliver in spades!
Every court needs a court jester. Thanks for being there for all of us in the midst of this health crisis, you give us reason to smile.
And don't worry, we're not laughing WITH you, we're laughing AT you...
Bad Wigins wrote:55,000 is no worse than the flu, ...
This is a laugher, that's for sure!
I know there's no outcome that can change your distorted, sociopathic perspective. When this reaches 100,000, 120,000, 150,000, whatever, later this year, it'll still be, in your addled brain matter, "no worse than the flu, bro..."
If I were you I'd change my screen name to distance myself from the ignominy, but you won't, your defective brain and weak values will keep you coming back. Which I welcome, for the ongoing opportunity to continue pointing out your deeply impressive stupidity. :-)

Australia has done an amazing job. Here is an example as my home state Virginia in US and Australia had same number of cases about a week ago with around 6400. Since then Australia now at around 6800 and VA almost 1300 but with around 400 deaths compared to 83 for Australia. I'm just hoping to get back to working with my 50+ athletes but we are online at the moment. Teaching online tomorrow should be interesting. Stay safe aussiestat guy.....from the bloke who has trained w/Deek, Bile, Aden, Creighton, Wilson, Franke, and oh taught a few notable Aussie stars ie TDF Green Jersey winner and Aussie female 800m record holder.....bet u didn't know those stats haha cheers
Australia has done an extremely good job of keeping infection rates low but what now?
Unless the virus just magically disappears they will need to be exposed to it eventually and then what happens?
Or do they live in isolation from here to eternity.
