Last I heard no official date has been announced but many people are hoping for it to still go through in September.
I think a potential postponement rather than outright cancellation is good news for him ...

And Camille Herron has to stay home in Oklahoma too.
That’s weird cause she’s in Alamosa, Colorado.
Same thing. Alamosa is the Oklahoma of Colorado.
To bad we can see that she get Steyned at Comrades.[/quot
*too
If you’re going to be a pretentious dîck, at least proofread your trash.
Someone is terming Oklahoma AND Alamosa "redneck"?? WHO are these "expert commentators" coming up with this stuff?
Having lived in the San Luis Valley ... one hears SPANISH spoken on a daily basis in shops and parks all over.
There are very successful Amish farmers/ ranchers driving horse-and buggies to the farmers' markets etc.
The hiking/ rock- climbing/ mountain biking/ trail running opportunities are excellent.
Plenty of world class runners/ Olympic champions/ whole national teams have come to Alamosa to train.
O.k., the area is not RICH $$$ like Boulder/ Crested Butte/ Telluride etc. How many towns are?!
It seems like in the current challenging times in the USA that the LET'S RUN message board might be a bit more positive and knowledgeable ...

I know this kind of post is par for the course but I don't think titling a thread that way does LR or the boards any favors. Meanwhile, Jim to the best of my knowledge still has a shoe contract, and Jake Riley doesn't. So, in evaluating hyperbolic devastation levels, some housekeeping might be in order. Presumably Jim assumed Comrades was to be cancelled. It's rather surprising (or perhaps not) that it took so long for the race to get cancelled. I wonder if you are still optimistic about fall racing to resume on the penciled in dates. I'm not, certainly not to see the races take place as they have in ordinary years, but we shall see, a lot will likely change between now and then.
Meanwhile, Mike Wardian whom you've suddenly warmed up to just competed in a virtual ORM (Obstacle Racing Media - notably not ordinarily any sort of ultra organization), and finished 3rd with 80 some odd miles in 12 hours. This, may I remind readers, was a week after his win in the Quarantine Backyard Ultra, which was a week after a 2:33 marathon on his city block, which came 6 days after setting the FKT for 50 States run around Washington DC (~100 km). That's as good an introduction to Mike Wardian as any. What's remarkable is he has been doing this for about 2 decades.
