Finally some actual patriots. The bootlickers who take the side of the government (who put these “nonessentials” out of a job btw) are pathetic. These individuals criticizing the protests and their fellow Americans right to speak their minds to their lawmakers would be the same individuals snitching on their neighbors to the government in societies such as the USSR or Maoist China.
Kudos to Michigan
Redneck Rising: unemployables starting to organize protests against efforts to flatten the curve.

Pretty bleak for restaurants unless you are a big corporate entity who has already received millions of dollars of "welfare".

Nice to see some pushback against the fascist Democrats. They are loving having all the sheep penned up and controlled. -

now that i think about it, that may actually be the reason for the usage of cars. good for them. i guess i'll have to retract me earlier comment.
One explanation for LA's lower CV rate is that people commute in cars instead of subways. -

Not all of them by any means.

Oh look, one of the bums has lotuseater's fake Benjamin Franklin post. Almost like it's been an intentionally misrepresented quote for the right! -
I can't stop laughing at the ironic idiocy of those flying the confederate flag at this protest. So many layers of humor in their stupidity.

Explain to me these:
1. You can go into a Target or Walmart and buy groceries or clothes or toys, but cannot by home repair items or garden supplies?
2. Citizens of other states are allowed to come into Michigan to visit their second homes, yet residents of Michigan are not allowed to visit their second homes.
3. You can canoe or kayak on Michigan waterways with up to 3 people on each craft, but boating, even solo, is banned.
4. Abortion clinics remain open, but a barber or hair salon cannot open.
These and other stupid rules are from this whackjob Governor. Those supportive of this nimrod wench are welcome to explain the reasoning for the four above. Have at it...but you can’t. -

You won’t get an explanation from them. However, they will ignore your whole argument and post pictures of Confederate flags as if that is what actually matters in this situation. -

Exactly. Let's set aside the accusations of tyranny and focus on the one guy we spotted parodying a confederate flag. Honk honk! -

Yeah, that's it. Didn't realize there were this many people that truly hate America. What a pathetic excretion. Useless parasites like you is why the country is a shadow of its former self. -

If you don’t see the hilarious irony in the confederate flag waving at this protest, then I feel sorry for you. It is most certainly worth pointing out. -

I don't find anything hilarious about slavery, racism, or Governer Whitmer's tyrany. -

If there is a silver lining to all this coronavirus, it's that the non-essentials have been exposed for what they are.
What do you mean? Wall Street, the fed, and Washington have not been deemed non-essential yet. Yet they are the least essential. -

Folks, this small protest is just the beginning. It's not just small businesses that are being annihilated. The NY Times is reporting that Disney is losing $30 million per day. Large hospitals (think Cleveland Clinic) are on track to lose $1 billion by the end of the year.
These protesters are on the forefront of a much larger movement. The MI governor is on the wrong side of this one - and that will be obvious to everyone soon. -

Ah yeah, good man. People will flock to Disneyland as soon as it reopens ? -

Most of these are absurdly obvious:
1. Groceries and cloths are a need. Garden supplies and home repair items are not. The goal is to minimize the number of people shopping at any given time to slow the spread of the virus, while simultaneously maintaining access to the supplies people need to live. Therefore you have to make a call as to what is non-essential, and the restrict stores from selling those non-essential items until the threat has passed.
2. Pretty sure the governor of Michigan lacks the authority to restrict interstate travel. You know, the constitution and all. However, they do have the authority to issue shelter in place orders for those already within the state’s borders.
3. The prohibition is on motorized boating. The reason is simple, to operate a motorized boat you need gasoline. To provide gasoline for motorized boating would require people to buy gas for a recreational activity, thereby increasing the number of non-essential social interaction and accelerating the spread of the virus.
4. In a non-trivial number of cases abortion procedures are a live saving operation for the mother. For example, my wife had to undergo an abortion procedure (a D&C) after miscarriage to remove the dead fetal tissue and avoid life threatening complications. No body ever died from not getting a haircut. -
Breit. Those flying those flags were apprehended. Guess what they said when questioned? I'll give you a hint. "We were asked to do so for a small payment. Small payment is better than no income. " "We are all hurting. Can you understand? "
